Kentucky loses to the worst team in the ACC

I look forward again to them losing at Bobby Mo, in the first round of the NIT!

Yeah Sarr did have a good game. Really the only reason UK had a shot.

Yeah I watched almost the whole game. UK isn't good. Sarr is probably their best player right now. Guys have higher ceilings than him but they aren't there yet. Sarr is a good, productive college player, but if he's your best player, you likely won't have a good record.
on paper, Sarr seems like a NBA player. He has the measurables, he's solid enough in the post and mobile enough to suggest that he'll able to play modern big man defense. problem is he doesn't really excel anything. Coming out of France, his rep was that he had good measurables and was raw offensively with one exception; He could shoot it from deep. His outside jumper was something that he has never been allowed to show off, and that was a Danny Manning stable. It's like Manning thought that having your big man shoot jumpers was a losing proposition. He coached it out of Dinos Mitoglou, and he quickly coached it out of Sarr. John Collins didn't shoot a single three pointer at Wake, and he shot 34% from deep during his NBA rookie season, lmao. It's a decent assumption that the perception that Collins couldn't shoot cost him the lottery. and I think it may cost Sarr the opportunity to be drafted in the second round.

UK isn't making the tourney this year imo. Honestly I'm not sure Duke will either

Sarr was supposed to be the last piece to sure up any holes from the incoming studs.

False.

Askew is a long ways from being a serviceable PG. May get it by year's end but very well may transfer after this season, too.

Boston is not a top rated talent. Kid can barely handle the ball and can only go to his right - which he's not really good at doing at all.

Jackson is a defensive beast. Not much for offensive production but a good surprise.

Clarke has a high ceiling and what you would expect most of the frosh to be about now.

Mintz was the other upperclassmen transfer. Hasn't been a good back-up PG but Cal has already mismanaged him so Mintz will eventually regret coming to UK.

Lots of UK fans are thinking Keion Brooks changes things when he's back from injury. He has a year in Cal's system but he was a small contributor to the team last year. I have my doubts on a 2nd yr coming off injury being able to move the needle.

UK is ranked 300th something in attempted 3's. Cal doesn't seem to like shooters. Even if he did, as a team, they're not a great shooting team and maybe not even mediocre. Since the offense looks like what you would see if you rolled a basketball out on a playground of 5 year olds, it's tough to really know if they just suck or Cal's antiquated views on the CBB offense and not teaching them how to create space to knock down open 3's.
