So they moved and the moved back in to the same house?
From the press release, it says Hank took a job in Saudi Arabia. So the scene seems to show them leaving town and a new guy moving in. Some fans are speculating the new guy was just renting the house because he's dressed similar to a Strickland employee and when the Hills come back to the US, they move back in to their house
Premieres Aug 4th on Hulu
That's so random and completely unnecessary.
Some details:
After years working a propane job in Saudi Arabia to earn their retirement nest egg, Hank and Peggy Hill return to a changed Arlen, Texas to reconnect with old friends Dale, Boomhauer and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby is living his dream as a chef in Dallas and enjoying his 20s with his former classmates Connie, Joseph and Chane.
Some cool stuff from the intro if you watch closely:
-Good Hank (Cotton's youngest son) and DeeDee appear
-Nancy appears to be with John Redcorn again
-Hills move out, new guy moves in
-A Gribble runs for mayor
-Bill coughs, next scene is Boomhaur, New Guy, and Dale wearing facemasks (Dale wearing it like a chin diaper) while socially distancing. Looks like Covid times
-Khan and Minh have an argument while walking their dog (rumors from a couple months back say Khan got divorced and now lives with Bill)
Yep.I think the idea is The Hills coming back to Arlen after all these years and seeing all the changes is a stand in for the audience coming back to the show after the same amount of time. Also, its sorta believable because people in the oil/gas industry do go work in SA for big money and come back to the US. Maybe Buck Strickland cut a deal.
Yep.
