Coming off of a bit of a career resurgence with career highs in homer and RBIs
Didn’t see that coming

That is why he is retiringEntire career with the Mariners. Does he get a statue?
We could have played him at first when Freddie signs with the PadresThat is why he is retiring
He is tired of living in Seattle
Freddie isn't going anywhereWe could have played him at first when Freddie signs with the Padres
Not during the lockout.Freddie isn't going anywhere
I remember when Seager and Ackley were supposed to take over the ALI knew he had been around a for a bit but didn't realize it was already 11 years
Good QuestionsThat is why he is retiring

I didn't ask a single question in the post that you quoted.Good Questions
The Mariners bought out his contract, 35 HRs and 101 RBIs, but a .212 average hurts. At 34 he is a little young to hang up the cleats. Last year he made 18.5 million ... I see his value about 8 million next year. It could be more with incentives and if he is a good positive teammate. I don't think he is done yet.
True … I thought you were asking Why is he retiringI didn't ask a single question in the post that you quoted.
In Seattle it's gonna be all just guest appearances on the J-Rod Show next year anyway![]()
ZiPS has him projected for over 3 WAR next year. Not many batters 22-and-under have been projected for 3+ WAR, and the majority that were have been very good if not stars (save for Polanco, and even he was still a decent player for a few years).

2022 ZiPS Projections: Seattle Mariners
There’s more to do, but the Mariners are legitimate AL West contenders.blogs.fangraphs.com
That was never once said. Ackley was the number 2 pick and Seager was suppose to the run of the mill minor leaguer.I remember when Seager and Ackley were supposed to take over the AL
It was definitely said. I remember it being said. Why are you never correct when you quote weeks old comments in the middle of the night? It’s a terrible habitThat was never once said. Ackley was the number 2 pick and Seager was suppose to the run of the mill minor leaguer.

He was a run of the mill prospect with zero expectations of ever getting to the big leagues. Without question he crushed it through the minor leagues but doesn’t change the fact when he was drafted literally no one thought he would be a major leaguer and his quick rise through the minors proved that because they didn’t switch him positions until he got to AAA and leapfrogged Ackley. He was drafted in the 3rd round and crushed and moved through the minor leagues very quickly. I don't have any old clippings but nothing in that background says "run of the mill minor leaguer" expectations to me.
Actually even though I said I don't have any clippings it's very possible that I have the old Sickels prospect books from those years. I'll pop down and take a look later in the day to see what John said about K. Seager back in the day.
Because I was bored and was looking through things I know more about that anyone on the subject. It was definitely said. I remember it being said. Why are you never correct when you quote weeks old comments in the middle of the night? It’s a terrible habit
