Admittedly, we have to play the toughest part of our schedule. With a lot of turnover, early season injuries, a new QB and OC, we were very fortunate to have our schedule setup for us like this. And, we now have to play the 11th,14th, and 19th ranked teams, at least for now.

I have said we have a very good team, but not an elite team. But damn, once again the stats are showing we have the best balance of all the teams.

Team - Total Def rank - Total Off rank - QB Total Offense Yds/gm rank

1. UGA - 8 - 4 - 8
2. MI - 1 - 46 - 55
3. OSU - 4 - 40 - 44
4. FSU - 29 - 22 - 23
5. WA - 99 - 5 - 2
6. OR - 16 - 2 - 11
7. TX - 27 - 21 - 32
8. AL - 17 - 80 - 52
9. PSU - 2 - 67 - 77
10. OK - 63 - 7 - 5
11. MS - 52 - 12 - 13
12. ND - 11 - 41 - 61
13. LSU - 91 - 1 - 1
14. MO - 38 - 30 - 15
15. UL - 15 - 25 - 48
16. OR St - 47 - 34 - 59
17. AF - 3 - 70 - NR
18. Utah - 18 - 105 - NR
19. TN - 26 - 28 - 51
20. UCLA - 10 - 13 - 91

Of note...
Aub - 62 - 99 - 98
KY - 59 - 85 - 74
FL - 34 - 52 - 48
GT - 131 - 18 - 7

UGA is the only team in the top 10 of both total offense and defense. UCLA is the only other top 20 team in top 15 of total offense and defense. Oregon is the only other team in the top 20 of both categories.

LOL@ UCLA revealing Colorado...again

For someone who had to live through UF owning us for the better part of two decades, you can't imagine how enjoyable this is:

Considering the trash schedule UGA has this year, I'd certainly hope they were.
We can't play ourselves, we didn't cancel the OU game the SEC did, you play and beat who you play, and we have the 11th,14th, and 19th ranked teams coming up. Don't like it, beat us. Pretty simple.

With such a cakewalk, there won't be a tough game until the SECCG.

Then we should get beaten in the SECCG, right? That's all we heard before the Michigan Orange Bowl game ... UGA hasn't played anyone. We saw how that worked out.

But, if playing the 11th,14th, and 19th ranked teams is a cakewalk, who the hell has a tough schedule? Who exactly can you point at that has had a tough schedule?

I didn't say UGA isn't good. I'm just commenting that their "statistical ranking" doesn't mean jack.

Again, who has played this awesome schedule you are referring to so that their statistics mean jack?

Big 12 playoff hopes are on the line this week IMO.

Texas plays a surging Kansas State team without Ewers. Oklahoma is going to Stillwater to play a 5-2 Oklahoma State team after struggling the last two weeks.

But that's just "total offense".....

You'll note, that once you flip that to "scoring offense", Michigan comes in ranked in the top 10 at 6. And scoring defense Michigan still ranks 1. Total offense is just about yards and yards =/= points. And if you look at passer rating, JJ comes in at #2, Beck ranks outside the top 10 at #12.

Of note impacting our "yards per game" is that our starting offense has played in exactly 1 fourth quarter this year, and is often out of the game sometime in the middle of the 3rd.

LOL

Michigan Opponents Scoring Offense

East Carolina: 121st
UNLV: 26th (G5)
Bowling Green: 100th
Rutgers: 65th
Nebraska: 113th
Minnesota: 108th
Indiana: 121st
Michigan St: 125th

So six of your eight opponents are 100th or worse in Scoring Offense after 9 weeks.
i.e. Michigan didn't do that by themselves.

This is shaping up like a few years ago when I bantered for an entire week with WhoPhoneDis (a.k.a. TrustMeIAmRight) regarding Michigan's top ranked paper tiger defense that he was bragging about.

I told the knucklehead that Penn St was going to expose them for the frauds they were.

Result....

Michigan: 13
Penn St: 42

I love that you shat on your team to make this.

Missouri, Ole Miss and Tennessee??? Are we still pretending all the SEC teams are elite?

You mean I can be honest in that Nebraska's offense is horrible?
It's hard to imagine Michigan's defense doing any better against the competition getting put in front of us.

I mean they are ranked by the AP and Coaches as 11, 14, and 19 teams. What the fuck else do you want? We get ripped because we have played a soft schedule. I point out that we are going to play the 11, 14, and 19 and I now get ripped because some PAC honk thinks they aren't any good because he has SEC-envy. Meanwhile, people get credit for playing tough PSU, and ND, and Clemson, as if they are somehow really good teams.

At this point, fuck it. We are 41-1 since Halloween 2020. Beat us or shut the fuck up. Scoreboard.

Looky here knucklehead.

Nebraska's Scoring Defense is #22. Not too shabby for a first year HC and DC.
However, you don't see me on here bragging about it. Because I know Nebraska's played some terrible offenses.

Minnesota scored 13 pts
Northern Illinois scored 11 pts
Louisiana Tech scored 14 pts
Illinois Scored 7 pts
Northwestern scored 9 pts
Purdue scored 14 pts

11.3 average PPG. That's good enough for #3 in Scoring Defense.

If we were to remove the Michigan game from Nebraska they would come in at #8 in Scoring Defense.

Ohio State ranked 3rd i think by default a little bit. We are 3/4 the way through the season and I still don't know if they're any good or not.

Defense usually shows up and plays well. Offense constantly struggles. I think they fall under the good but not great category. 2 marquee wins are at ND and home vs PSU and both games were pretty tight.

Guess we will find out later in November whether it'll be tOSU or Michigan from the B1G.

Meh, you scheduled like pussies and the SEC is down this year. You want to pump up Missouri as a big game, go for it. Instead of trying to pump up average teams like their big games, you should have just left it to your last sentence.

Good luck with your gauntlet.
