My niece had a softball tournament 7 miles from my place Saturday and Sunday. Been living here almost 2.5 years and been visiting for much much longer and I had no idea that field was there and there were about 12 softball fields!

I have my first of three interviews for an open position I have, we'll see how it goes, she used to work in area I did and I already talked to some people who knew her and they had nice things to say, gives her a bit of a head start

Outside of that, not much. Might go get bundle of two of firewood after work

My niece had a softball tournament 7 miles from my place Saturday and Sunday. Been living here almost 2.5 years and been visiting for much much longer and I had no idea that field was there and there were about 12 softball fields!

Some of the complexes are no joke. We only have 4 fields (2 Little League, 1 full size, 1 softball). I get envious of just about everyone else.

There's one down in Columbus with 30+ turf fields. Fucking nuts. I think it's the largest in the US.

The All Star Village at Cooperstown was pretty cool, but I think I liked the Ripken facility in Myrtle Beach better.

Yeah this complex is absolutely legit!!

Extremely well staffed... Food trucks, 14 or so softball fields.... I am very impressed.

Sucks that they got knocked out on Sunday for their first Sunday game... Though the team the played could pick like woooooo... They made it interesting in the last at bats.. Loading bases after scoring 2 runs and struck out to end game 3-2

There's actually two facilities in Cooperstown. Dreams Park, and All Star Village.

Crazy business they do.

Fifteen weeks of tournaments, registration is $20-25K per team. The week we were there, there were 52 teams. That's $1.125MM in registration fees. I think that's on the high end of teams per week, but let's say they average 35 teams a week, times 15 weeks, times the two venues, that's $23.625MM.

Not to mention all the money families spend on hotels/vrbos/restaurants, etc. We estimated that with all the family travel expenses included, our team probably probably dropped around $50K on that tournament. Fucking crazy. It was a neat experience, though.
