But... if it had to happen to a high profile team I'm not upset that it happened to Oregon.

O % Nix or any other NFL draft eligible player is in that game.
 
What's going to be interesting to see is how many Oregon fans opt out of buying tickets for a bowl game in Arizona and playing a nothing team.

VRBO gonna get so booked up they're going to need to recruit some hosts just to cover all the demand from rabid fans for this matchup. At least Liberty probably won't be in the same boat as UConn a few years ago trying to sell all their allotted tickets. Ducks on the other hand might be on the hook.

Does liberty even have a big enough fan base to sell all their tickets if all of them are ready and willing to go?

The G5 NY6 matchup is the ultimate no win and a terrible consolation prize for just missing the playoffs.

If you beat em, so what, you’re supposed to beat G5 teams. If you lose, you’re the meme the entire offseason
