There was a quote put out by the committee, or at least someone on it, that they put UM ahead because (paraphrasing) on paper they're the more complete team top to bottom statistically. MSU is one of the worst pass defense teams in the nation.Personally I argued with UM fans saying no chance we are ranked ahead of MSU (I'm a UM fan). My ONLY thought is -- UM controlled much of the game and in all honesty, would have essentially ended the game, after the strip sack fumble recovered in the end zone for a TD. For some reason it was overturned, then the B1G came out and said they made a mistake.
That is the only reason I think they could make that decision ?!? In the end, it will play out on the field. UM and MSU are a whole lot of smoke and mirrors this year. It will be settled when we both play OSU.
That being said -- bet the over in the MSU OSU game. MSU ranks dead last in pass defense in CFB. OSU will pass for 700 yards if they want to. OSU struggles with physical teams who can run the ball -- that is MSU, so look for K9 to have a huge game.
Doesn't really matter in the end, both teams have to go through OSU. That will determine everything.
