I disagree. Aranda was handed a program in good shape and Tucker took a cluster and won with duck tape and sheer will.

Much more impressed with what Tucker has done.

Aranda had a tough first season with an OC that struggled.. what did he do? He fucking fired and replaced him with the OC from BYU. He also hit the portal and took a terrific NT from LSU.

Also, his team is disciplined.. they had maybe 1 flag in like two or three games. Unreal.

Aranda knows his shit, I'd take him over Mel easily

I'm thinking Tiger is meaning that they want him but he may not be the consensus guy everyone wants over there? I also wonder if SC is also looking at him too now.

Actually I was thinking more of his wife and kids. He has young kids. Pulling them in an out of different schools and different states every couple years is not so easy. Especially when they are in their teens.

So, I talked to some LSU fans with know-how (talking about this in VT thread). Here is what I got from these sources:

1. Jimbo Fisher was top choice.
2. Dave Aranda is another major choice and, in my opinion, the most likely candidate to get the job
3. Mel Tucker and Lincoln Riley were considered but I am not sure how serious it was for both parties. Both don't look likely.
