Good point. Here’s hoping they don’t sell much of them. These uniforms are gross.blame Nike
those guys love to sell jerseys.
it won't matterGood point. Here’s hoping they don’t sell much of them. These uniforms are gross.
Oh, I don’t hate Nike for some political reason I’m not my father.it won't matter
they are doing to all the leagues they have contracts with. It is what they do.
I am sure Under Armour would have done the same had they kept the MLB contract.
I agreeOh, I don’t hate Nike for some political reason I’m not my father.
Its just pure stupid design and marketing, and it any other company were doing it I would say the same.
They do the same in Europe, Nike and Adidas have made some dog shit kits for some iconic teams. Thankfully most are just like here and are 3rd or Alternate kits they rarely wear.I agree
and MLB/NBA/NFL/NHL are not innocent in the whole thing. They are on board with selling more merchandise.
I think I would prefer a couple ugly jerseys a season vs seeing ads on my baseball unis all season long. They do the same in Europe, Nike and Adidas have made some dog shit kits for some iconic teams. Thankfully most are just like here and are 3rd or Alternate kits they rarely wear.
Matters not. Tradition has to mean more.they are wearing those for 2 games, so calm your tits.
no it doesn'tMatters not. Tradition has to mean more.
You have got to be a millenial with that line of thinking.no it doesn't
tradition says never wearing one off jerseys?
they aren't getting rid of tradition.
nopeYou have got to be a millenial with that line of thinking.
I’ll agree with this. I was raised to love baseball by a traditionalist, and I carry myself mostly that way.nope
I'm just not afraid of change like you are, Boomer.
I'm 44. Makes me a Gen-Xer.nope
I'm just not afraid of change like you are, Boomer.
I mean there are throwbacks that I absolutely love. The Phillies do a great job with their throwback unis.I’ll agree with this. I was raised to love baseball by a traditionalist, and I carry myself mostly that way.
But, I will allow for some play with alternates mixed in; it can be fun.
I’ll just call it out when I see an alternate idea (like Boston’s) that is dog shit. They remind me when the Eagles wore a blue and yellow uni one game. That went over like dog shit too.
Sellouts to tradition.I mean there are throwbacks that I absolutely love. The Phillies do a great job with their throwback unis.
but they will end up having a one off uni just like the Red Sox, because every team is getting one.
I'll just shrug and go with it. No reason to get my panties in a bunch.
again, I would rather have this than ads on uniforms.
I’m not going to argue with you on comparing this to ads on jersey, which is just gross.I mean there are throwbacks that I absolutely love. The Phillies do a great job with their throwback unis.
but they will end up having a one off uni just like the Red Sox, because every team is getting one.
I'll just shrug and go with it. No reason to get my panties in a bunch.

if you look at the NBA right now, every team goes outside of their color scheme on the regular, which I think has gotten absolutely ridiculous. Sure, it's fun and all, but in the end there are times I watch a game and have no idea who is playing at first glance.I’m not going to argue with you on comparing this to ads on jersey, which is just gross.
And, this isn’t a “panties in a bunch” thing. It’s just opinions. I don’t think I see anyone that’s not going to roll with it. No one is rage quitting the game over uniforms.
Ill just leave it with this....the goal for Nike and the teams is to sell merchandise. I respect that. The Phillies are a positive example you have. The powered blue throwbacks are awesome. And now that fans are back just see how many of them are in the stands. They sell.
I can’t see Boston’s selling. I get it, they have a traditional look thats never been changed much. I’m sure they can go far enough back to find some connection for a throwback, but it might just be horrid like the Packers and Steelers bumble bee uniforms have always been.
Middle ground with a team like Boston should have been a variation in play with the team colors. I just feel like that would sell better than I think this weird color combo will.
Each team is going to have an off the wall alternate like this....or they will have such a wild alternate if they don’t have a feasible throwback to go to?if you look at the NBA right now, every team goes outside of their color scheme on the regular, which I think has gotten absolutely ridiculous. Sure, it's fun and all, but in the end there are times I watch a game and have no idea who is playing at first glance.
that's what this is going to be. Each team will have a one off jersey to start with some kind of tie to the city that isn't a throwback.
shoot, the Phillies could do these colors for the city colors, like the Eagles did with the blue and yellow jerseys/helmets they did.
yes, they are going to have wild off the wall alternatives. Each team is going to have an off the wall alternate like this....or they will have such a wild alternate if they don’t have a feasible throwback to go to?
If every team is getting a wild one (like the NBA City uniforms, which are an abomination overall to me) then I hope they don’t sell for shit.
To your point about how wild the NBA has become...it can be all for fun, but the ultimate goal of a uniform is brand recognition, and getting so crazy you confuse the viewer is not smart business.
I can't fathom teams like the Yankees, Dodgers, Tigers, etc. doing this crap. Of course, I wouldn't have expected the Red Sox to do it neither.yes, they are going to have wild off the wall alternatives.
