Well for one, schools aren’t supposed to be directly involved with NIL deals so this is a poor excuse. Another coach contacting a player at another school before that kid officially enters the transfer portal is an issue regardless of NIL.


I mean if people are okay with this then fuck it. Just throw out all the rules at this point.

Basically "the rules" seem to be getting tossed out here and there these days anyway. CFB is gonna end up being a shell of it's former self. :tsk:

Kids have NIL agents. You don't have to contact the kids -- you contact the agents. Once they allowed NIL deals and the transfer portal -- it is essentially a free for all anyways. Why pick and choose pointless rules to enforce?

And it is laughable to hear you say schools aren't directly involved in NIL deals. Are you saying Texas A&M randomly selected all the kids they bought in the 2022 class they put together? Did Tennessee randomly decide to give a QB from California an $8 million dollar deal? It is the wild, wild west out there right now -- to think Lincoln Riley personally reached out to the Pitt kid is foolish. The USC NIL collective may have reached out to him, but i guarantee it wasn't Lincoln Riley. The same type of NIL collective that are at every school these days.

CFB is going to be no different than the NFL. Players will actually have more freedom though, as how iron clad can a NIL deal be? Miami basketball player has said he is going in the transfer portal, after word got out a player who transferred in got 800k in NIL deals, even though the Miami basketball player has NIL deals signed already. So it sounds like they are only bound by the NIL deals while they are at the certain school. Once they leave -- it is nullified.

What’s laughable about it. It didn’t say they weren’t. I said they’re not supposed to be. It’s the rule.
 
If I were him I wouldn't sign anything until I got in the portal, might be a few other teams looking to upgrade their WR talent by picking up a whore.
 
It looks like Caleb Williams may be who has been recruiting Addison. Apparently, they know each other. Players are allowed to recruit other players.

Additionally, in an interview, Narduzzi said that Notre Dame tried to recruit his QB last year, but he chose to blame ''back channels'' rather than Brian Kelly.

Sooners fans have so much sand in their vaginas, their just running with stuff instead of actually waiting for the full story.

Its not just Sooner fans they see Riley as a douche. It's pretty much nationwide if you watch first take or any of the other sports news shows. Riley is Kevin Durant 2.0.
