Lincoln Riley to USC

There’s enough but hurt Oklahoma fans who thought that their program was the pinnacle of college football and no one would ever leave their school for another college job. One will bite.
in the landthieves defense.. he left for another school that is in the pinnacle tier of CFB History. Not like this guy bolted for Washington or Florida

sitting at 76 right now. and 64th in 20. thats 2 not 1.

I'd ask if OD hacked your account, but I'm familiar with your posts. You should be embarrassed to have posted this. 64th is 1 bad recruiting class. You say they're 76th now and we haven't reached early signing day yet, let alone the official final signing day. But according to you, that's 2 bad classes.

You may need step away from the computer before you start hyperventilating.

With the level of stupid in that quote...I'm not bothering with the rest of that post.

no one said other wise. that was my argument from the jump. everyone saying Riley was going to the Pac because its easier to win. i was arguing that its harder in some ways.

That was the 2000's. The conference is down right now. It is easier to win in the PAC right now. Like it or not, when USC is good, it tends to help the rest of the conference. Not sure why, but it seems to be that way.

I don't expect Oregon to drop off much, if at all and I think/hope a revived USC and Oregon remaining strong will help the rest of the conference. Not that give a shit about the rest of the conference, I just don't want to have to defend USC's conference schedule again. lol

might look even but
56-24 and 31-24 in that same timeframe says no

lol

Wtf are you even talking about. You're the one who brought up recruiting classes and now you want to move the goalposts to something else when you were wrong. You should probably go lie down for awhile.

Keep posting that...you’ll get a bite eventually.
You have to admit this samurai dork does make a good point. This is the second time an OU coach has left for another school. The last time was in 1947. It happens ever 74 years just like clockwork. That's some eerie shit, man.

USC has to be good for that conference to thrive. Oregon can't carry it. Worst shit post realignment Big 12 was having schools like Baylor and TCU be the ones who carried the conference for a few years. Sure it's a good story and all, but it fed into the conference was weak argument.

No conference can thrive with only 1 dominant team. PAC is no exception.

If the recruiting classes were even you would think the games would be closer.

seemed like Pac still got a lot of attention when it was Oregon and Stanford every year

that was coming off the end of the Carroll era? the whole what's your problem with Jim right? Or are you talking about post Stanford Jim?

That may be even more true for the PAC because of things that are outside the control of the individual schools. For example can't really control the time difference. So PAC teams have to be good enough/entertaining enough to get earlier time slots.

A game starting at, for example, 5pm on the West Coast, is starting at 8pm back East. And forget about the PAC After Dark stuff. It was an idea that was worth a try...but most folks in the East and even Midwest and South...aren't staying up for a game that doesn't even start until 9:30pm or 10:30pm...even if the football being played is good.

Then, of course, there's the damage done by that idiot Larry Scott. Hopefully, the new commissioner can figure out a way to make the PAC-12 Network better.

lol

And I thought that working in the medical field, you'd be smarter.

Remember that coaching thing that I keep mentioning?

Turns out, that kind of thing is actually important. Who knew?

Kinda starting to worry about you.

If USC is humming and is the dominant school like it was when it was under Carroll, it made the conference better. You would have Cal creeping out of nowhere to contend.. Shit didn't Oregon St have a good team around 2004 or so too?

What we haven't seen is that with any other program in the PAC.

Maybe I'm off but that conference needs SC to carry the weight for it to be viable.. and I say this from watching afar.. I used to stay up late to see SC games on Saturday nights when I lived in VA.

You can drop the "maybe".
