Lincoln Riley to USC

I read that some players are being told that they would be better served to enter the portal and find another opportunity. Slovis may be one of them. Apparently, the coaches have already been watching a lot of tape and have a pretty good idea of who they want to keep.

Even if Helton was still the coach, I think Dart would be starting next year. He has something extra that Slovis just doesn't.

I also saw that it looks like Riley is going to retain Donte Williams. That's big, imo.
I don't disagree, but Slovis had "something extra that" JT just didn't, also... :rolleyes2:

It's a bit of a "vicious circle" thing... Just DON'T get injured and you won't likely get displaced... at least not right away!! :heh:

Does anybody else actually want Slovis? He seemed to get worse every season

Kind of like Lincoln at OU.

Well looks like CJ Williams will be staying home. De-committed from ND today.

To be fair, he has dealt with some injuries over the past couple of seasons. There are a lot teams that could use him.

It’s rather hilarious how Oregon completely derailed this hire by USC. Riley hasn’t done anything on the recruiting trail, meanwhile Oregon hires one of the best recruiters in the country who’s looking to bring in top recruiting assistants.

2 years from now Oregon will look amazing while usc will need a towel to wipe the egg off their face. Riley is overrated

Usc hired Riley and the CFB world was shocked that he would leave Oklahoma. Everyone said he’d turn usc around.

Few weeks later and Oregon hires Lanning and instantly Oregon and Lanning and Lannings potential overtakes usc and Riley.

Seriously who would have thought when U.S.C hired Lincoln Riley from Oklahoma that a few weeks later everyone would be talking about OREGON and Lanning and what incredible heights Lanning can accomplish.

Just like everything else post 2009 in the PAC12, Oregon is taking the headlines.

We were assured that Cristobal was building a dynasty and Uncle Phil would pay whatever it takes to keep him there but turns out that Oregon is cheap and doesn’t want to pay to keep a coach which is why they keep running to other programs.

Cristobal went back to his alma mater and his hometown where his family is. It had nothing to do with money. Oregon did offer him a lot of money and he still went to Miami because it was home. It was the one job that would have taken him from Oregon and it happened. Absolute BS on how Miami went about doing it and the timing of it all, but it wasn't a shocker he is back at Miami

USC's class is currently ranked 101st and Riley has been there for over a week now. LOL And the media is hyping Riley as building a 'recruiting monster at USC' LOL it's good to have USC back!
