Lincoln Riley to USC

Cristobal went back to his alma mater and his hometown where his family is. It had nothing to do with money. Oregon did offer him a lot of money and he still went to Miami because it was home. It was the one job that would have taken him from Oregon and it happened. Absolute BS on how Miami went about doing it and the timing of it all, but it wasn't a shocker he is back at Miami
So is it absolute bullshit the way that Oregon went after it’s head coach while Georgia is preparing for a playoff game? Reality is, Miami is no different than what LSU, USC, or any other program that was looking for a coach mid season. The entire week before the Michigan at Michigan State game was that Tucker was going to LSU it’s a done deal, Michigan State didn’t let the distraction get to them and went out on won the game. If Oregon let that distract them, then they were weak mentally and deserved to lose.

Oregon got screwed by Miami's snake process. Oregon formally asked the respected schools of the coaches they were wanting to interview, so they were all made aware. The timing of the whole thing is crock but at least Oregon went about it in a professional way.

USC's class is currently ranked 101st and Riley has been there for over a week now. LOL And the media is hyping Riley as building a 'recruiting monster at USC' LOL it's good to have USC back!
what coach has ever walked onto a job 3 weeks before ESD1 and transform the class? But he has transformed the '23 class. I wouldn't worry about this class and where it is ranked because the portal will be active and there's a lot of good southern Cali players who may be homesick and ready to comeback

Again Miami’s “snake process” is no different than what USC or LSU did. You just are being a little bitch about it is because Oregon is the one that lost out because they are cheap and Oregon players are mentally weak. I didn’t see you saying shit about what LSU or USC did as dirty.

Because it's USC and LSU and neither were in the playoff hunt or had a shot at winning their conference championship. Oregon's was during a much bigger stage of the season. All reports of Riley and USC communication came after the Bedlam game.

Michigan State was in a playoff hunt and about to play their biggest rival and it didn’t stop LSU from going after Tucker.

Tucker said no and signed a huge contract extension with MSU before then mailing it in and losing terrible. MSU's loss had more to do with a coach who just signed a contract that will set him up for life and now no more incentive to win, then it did with LSU trying to hire him.

Go down the history of coaches and how well they do after they sign enormous contracts. They usually start to lose.

You guys thinking of getting back into the mix for conference titles? Or you just content with making headlines and sounding really cool?

You guys thinking you're going to be better than a stepping stone for a dump school?

Our two coaches who left went to their dream jobs. Is Tennessee a stepping stone school because Kiffin left UT for his dream job

You mean like Nick Saban when he went on and signed a top 5 deal after being a mediocre coach his entire career?

I’ve already said that I don’t think he will live up to the contract. Michigan State got ahead of the curve of the contracts and set the bar. All of the contracts since then have been compared to that one and ours is being paid for by two billionaire boosters.

His loss to Ohio State had to do with a massive talent gap and nearly half the team being with the program for less than a year.

The loss to Purdue was before the contract extension but was right after the Michigan game and you had players coming off of a huge emotional high and then they hit the lull against a sneaky good Purdue team. Still an unacceptable loss.

lol

Stepping stone for a dump school.

Yes, Tennessee has always been a stepping stone. They're just not a stepping stone for dump schools like Oregon is.

USC has been terrible for most of the past dozen years. We'll see how long it takes Riley to fix the broken culture there.
