Lions Trade Hockenson To Vikings

Interesting move by the Vikings. Their current TE, Smith, is out with a high ankle sprain and will miss a few weeks. So, this is a high quality replacement.

They're going for it this year. They do seem to be the contending NFC team that everyone forgets about.

The full terms of the deal are the Vikings sending a 2023 second-round pick and a 2024 fourth-round pick to Detroit in exchange for Hockenson, a 2023 fourth-round pick and a 2024 conditional fourth-round pick.

There's a 96.8% chance the Vikings win this trade.

Awful move by the Lions. This GM stinks.
I actually kinda feel bad for you and other Lions fans. I mocked the Lions for drafting a TE with the 8th overall pick. Now I have to restrain myself from mocking you for trading him to a division rival for pennies on the dollar. And worse of all, there's no hope that things will turn around any time soon. Pity is trumping bravado.

Holy shit, what a trade for the Vikes. This offense is already clicking, just adding another weapon to the arsenal.

Wonder if teams will learn to stop drafting TEs in the 1st round?

well dolphins & Eagles arent switching their QBs.
So I guess he is saying he would play for the Lions.

Lamar and J Will together would be a dream scenario.

and Smith stinks

Another year, another first round pick gone. Lions are on a non stopping carousel of futility, a constant rebuild/tear down state. I'm so sick of it.

The only way I'll feel good about this is if they can Campbell after Thanksgiving. Bring in a new coach with a rookie QB.

Rumors are that Okudah could be dealt next. 🙄
