When do you call your last time out to set up the go-ahead fg?

If it doesn’t matter then I suppose you’ll say they have zero and you call the timeout with 3 ticks left like OOYM stated.

I wanted to know if my opponent has any timeouts because it indeed affects my decision. Now you did say the clock is running so I’m guessing not. I’m still taking the clock down to whatever 2 or 3 ticks and kicking it as time expires.

What would you do?

Right before you lose 6 games in a row.
 
10 seconds in case you fuck up the first snap.

I’m not using any timeouts until 2 or 3 seconds if they do. I’m letting time run to 3 ticks. But I doubt they are letting time run if they Do but I asked and you STILL haven’t given me an answer.

I ask again, what would you do?

I already wrote my answer above. Dunce. 7 seconds.
and you just reiterated that you’d run the clock down if your opponent has time outs. But YOU didn’t answer my question of “why?”

I’m not giving them a chance to get the ball back if They have a timeout.

However if they don’t I’d consider the 7 second thing like you stated you’d do.

FGs take about four seconds off the clock.
So your thought is that you’re going to squib kick it, they will somehow gather it up and immediately fall on it inside of the three or two seconds they have left, and then do some 70 yard Hail Mary? Doesn’t seem too smart.
Id still hedge against the botched snap.

I’ve seen field goals take 3 Seconds. A miss guided kickoff lands out of bounds with no time going off the clock. Opponent gets 10 yards in 3 seconds, uses their last timeout and kicks a 67 yarder to tie ya.

Why the fuck would you ever put yourself in that position? You take it down to 3 ticks, the likelihood of a block return isn’t great nor should you play like a botched snap would happen.

But you go ahead and kick it with 7 seconds champ….
