Lol at the Bears...expected to name Trubisky starting QB

Embrace mediocrity. Imagine you have such little faith in QB #1, you sign QB #2 and pay him the same as QB #1. Despite QB #1 being a bust as a starter, you decide to play him anyway.

For my entire life, the Bears have sucked at QB. If Jim McMahon and Jay Cutler are your high water mark, that's sad.
 
If the Bears want ti tank they should follow The Jaguars blue print.
 
With what they have, they'd be dumb to not start Ttrubisky. Ride that turd to a smear. Run him retarded. Let Nick clean up late. Foles can't go 16. Save him. Bears' D is gonna be top 5. Mitch has like a 134 average rating against Detroit. They'd be fools to start Foles.

Foles may read shit better, but Trubisky is a far superior athlete, and can do it with a competent o-line, run game, and coaching.


Given what the bears currently have, which isn't ideal, I would start Trubs, give hime the greem light to run AND throw it downfield, and then go to Foles if/when he fails. But I would go hard Trubisky early. Let it loose.

I was going to say clearly Nagy is trying very hard to get out of Chicago,
but after reading this brilliant piece above it all makes sense now!

Look, Foles is absolutely nothing special. Couple good years. lotta shitty years.

And he just lost out on the starting job to Mitch. Not exactly a ringing endorsement.

Ride the youth hard, and let Nick be the backup. He's a better backup than starter, IMO.
 
Too bad the Bears don’t pick up Luke Falk, they would be Super Bowl contenders.

nick foles has never been able to start more than 11 games when afforded the opportunity. hes also had 1 (one) good season. 10 starts in 2013.
 
Better to put Trubisky in as the tackling dummy for the early season and let him play himself out of the starting position.

Foles will get more time to adjust to the playbook.

This is not a big a deal as some seem to make it.
 
I’m not surprised Mitch got the call to start the year. The leash will be short. But I’m fine with him getting first crack.
