Christ, by the time he'd chased Baez into the batter's box, he might as well have just tagged the runner from third himself instead of trying to throw it.
I don't know, if the catcher didn't throw the ball away on the play at first, the run doesn't count.I'm not even sure that's the most embarrassing play they've had against the Cubs in the past few years

The first baseman is a complete bozo for not stepping on first with two outs for sure, plus everyone just being lost as hell.I don't know, if the catcher didn't throw the ball away on the play at first, the run doesn't count.
So I've got a brain fart on the first baseman, a brain fart on the 2B for not getting over to first sooner, and then the throwing error by the catcher. What you posted looks like some pretty slick dance moves, right @Hu War Yu?
All he had to do was tag Baez at any time. He literally chose the only option for complete destruction.Christ, by the time he'd chased Baez into the batter's box, he might as well have just tagged the runner from third himself instead of trying to throw it.
Force out actually erases the run. All he had to do was trot back to first and beat Baez. All he had to do was tag Baez at any time. He literally chose the only option for complete destruction.
Yeah, this is just complete unawareness by multiple players. That's the biggest clusterfuck of nobody on the field being aware of the situation that I've ever seen in baseball. This is worse than an outfielder catching a flyout and forgetting how many outs there were and throwing the ball in the stands with runners on. It's worse than a player making an all time blooper on a dropped popup. The first baseman, the catcher and the second baseball all fucked up royally, and nobody was yelling at them to just touch first base.
Pretty bad when losing a game 20-1 is only the second most embarrassing thing to happen to your team in a week
Tagging Baez or the bag there is a forced out, and negates the runForce out actually erases the run. All he had to do was trot back to first and beat Baez.
The 2B should cover 1st but I’d give him a little pass on that because who the Fuck would anticipate that cluster of events happeningI don't know, if the catcher didn't throw the ball away on the play at first, the run doesn't count.

My Uncle always said there is a price for being a Steeler and Pens fan.
The Rodolfo Castro experience in a nutshell. Does a nice thing beating a slide into third followed up by a complete WTF moment of his cell phone flying out. Here's a new one.
