Man the SEC Sucks

Well I'm damn sure ready for them to. Need some damn variety out of that conference.

I know, I know....LSU in 2019 blah, blah, blah.
Well it's going to get even more whacky when they do away with divisions once UT and ou get there. Can't dodge certain teams for 8 years anymore.

We’ll see what the schedule. Getting rid of divisions should help a little but how good the teams are during the rotation will still matter. With 16 teams and guaranteed tradition rivals, there will still be some significant unbalanced schedules.

Utah is still Utah, they lose games like @ Florida early in a season, even if Florida isnt that great. Florida is still shit though. They lost to fucking Vanderbilt and were a couple bad snaps away from maybe losing to a 1-11 South Florida team.

Florida would not beat a single top 25 team at the moment even at full strength.

Talking up Bama and Tennessee is acceptable though.
Florida 38 #20 South Carolina 6....hate on :thumb:

Florida isnt Nebraska but they have been pretty pedestrian since Meyer left outside of a couple of seasons.

Same with Auburn since they went to the BCS title game after the 2013 season. Theyve lost 5+ games in all but 2 seasons since then (and those were 4 loss seasons)
Blah blah blah feel better getting that off your chest. Both Auburn and Florida have been in the SEC Championship game in recent years.

You can talk all you want but you haven’t beat Bama since 2015 or any other SEC team in the playoff. So your win loss record is against a bunch of losers. We sucked last year but still took Alabama to 4 OTs and you got your ass blasted by almost 30 last you played.

You talk good shit but it’s just shit.

According to the Massey Composite:

1. SEC
2. Big 12
3. Pac 12
4. B1G
5. ACC

We would beat Auburn by 30

Here we go with this BS that Auburn is only mediocre because the play in the SEC.

No we are shit because we have no o-line, QB or a competent coach. It’s fixable though.

Terry Bowden
Gene Chizik
Tommy Tuberville

All had undefeated seasons at Auburn so it is very doable.

Bowl games no longer matter. It's what you do OOC that sets up the perception of the league. The league did pretty good OOC.

UGA beat Oregon
UF beat Utah
Arkansas beat Cincy
Ole Miss beat Troy
South Carolina beat Clemson
UK beat UL
Tennessee beat Pitt
Bama beat Texas

My guess is no other league comes all that close to that many good wins.
Aren't bowl games OOC? I'm confused?

Only technically. No one takes the non-CFP bowls seriously. Especially now with opt-outs en sech.

Reg season and CFP is obvs where all the action is.

Their Bowl resume was quite good too...

Georgia beat B1G Something Ohio State in the Peach Bowl
Alabama beat Big Xii Champion Kansas State in the Sugar Bowl
Tennessee beat ACC Champion Clemson in the Orange Bowl

South Carolina beat ACC Champion Clemson in the Regular Season
Florida beat Pac-12 Champion Utah in the Regular Season

LSU beat B1G West Champion Purdue in the Citrus

Not every team contributed, but Alabama, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee beat a P5 Champion, LSU beat a P5 Divisional Champion, and Georgia beat a solid B1G Something team in the Playoff. 6/14 SEC Teams had a meaningful OOC win in either the Regular Season or a Bowl Game. My guess is that the other four P5 conferences COMBINED cannot match that using the same criteria.

Go TCU! Beat the Dawgs! Then, the Frawgs will have 2 meaningful OOC wins this year over the B1G Champion and the SEC Champion. The rest of the Big Xii did not do much out of conference.

Yeah, playing directional schools has so much meaning.

Yeah but most schools are playing at least one Power 5 team OOC so it isn't like the schedules are all directional schools.

That game didn't mean much in the big scheme of things since Iowa didn't even win thier division, but ISU did have the biggest OOC win in the Big Xii in the Regular Season.
Leagues don't win games.

I like bowl games, dislike the CFP.

I know that conferences don't win games, but there were six teams who reside in the SEC who did win meaningful OOC games this year. It is a nasty neighborhood. All of the other four P5 Conferences combined do not have six teams with the same type of meaningful OOC wins. That doesn't mean that THE SEC won the games, but Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, South Carolina and Tennessee sure did!
