Score one for the kid. Top drawer stuff.

By and large a lot of people with Down's syndrome can do most anything they choose, short of designing rockets.

My son goes to our local community living place and there are 8 -10 people there with Down's. They all get there on their own, walk, bus, bike, etc.

My son who has severe epilepsy has to be driven and picked up and even though he's 40, there's no way we'd let him swim on his own or go off on a bike. Drowning and hit by a car are solid options for him were he to try.

But again kudos to this kid. To have the will power to complete it is admirable.

My dad's cousin had the downs and lived to be 60 something.

He was a pretty talented artist all things considered but I've heard stories about him being young and loving to draw naked women. He got the bewbs right, but uh.....didn't know that ladies don't have cocks.

Some things I'm able to see humour in, others I don't.
