Mark Turgeon Out At Maryland

We beat UVA in football and their coach quit. We beat MD in basketball and their coach quit. VT out here killing coaches all over the place
 
Maryland fans have convinced everyone on r/CBB that Turgeon was mediocre. They cite him only making only Sweet 16 in 10 years as evidence of that. Turgeon will leave College Park with a higher conference winning percentage than Lefty Driesell and Gary Williams.

Apparently, Turgeon has been getting booed at games lately and that factored into his decision. When Maryland was in the ACC, they bitched about how the ACC was backwards for viewing the winner of the ACC Tournament as the conference champion. Well, Maryland won the Big Ten regular season two years ago and now they're claiming that Turgeon's lack of championships is what makes him mediocre. Hypocrisy was born and popularized in College Park, Maryland.

The argument that Maryland fans have is that they should routinely be in the top 10 b/c "muhh DC talent pool is so great!" Maryland has never been able to lock down the DC area and in 2021, locking down a recruiting area is nearly impossible.

They didn't run off Herb Sendek, they ran off a coach that went to the NCAAT every year and won a share of a conference championship just two years ago.
