They need to start benching people to make a statement. Sit Josh Lugg and Zeke Corell. Move Patterson back to center. Put in Kristofic or Spindler. Honestly can’t be worse than what they got now.

I wouldn’t give them Cal. Cal can play D. Frankly I wouldn’t favor them in any game but UNLV and Navy.

But, sheer talent? They should be able to rebound from this......Freeman may need to rely on his more veteran assistant coaches.

I’m seriously questioning that talent. The strength was supposed to be both lines. They have yet to show up this year. Buchner just isn’t that good and there’s no WR depth. The only guy playing his guts out is Tariq Bracy.
 
Someone needs to drive down to David Cutcliffe with a blank check to be an analyst/OC in waiting to un-fuck this offense.

Maybe this is why Kelly took off.

The bright side is you have the best recruiting class on paper that you’ve had in years so you just need to hold onto those guys and hopefully this will be a positive showing them they will play quickly. If Freeman holds onto to this class then the future looks good. If he doesn’t then it’s a problem.

I did see where he changed the practice routine and had them practicing Sunday night. That’s pretty bold for a Catholic school.

That and the schedule I think. Let’s be honest, a lot of Kelly’s wins were manufactured. We beat the lesser teams consistently but got pantsed against any real competition. He saw the WR room, the QB room, and OSU Clemson and USC on his schedule and said see ya (yes I know to the SEC but $90M eases a lot of those concerns)

I’m worried about the class staying together and they’re still 2 years from getting a blue chip QB on campus (assuming Carr is all in). They whiffed this class by putting all their eggs on Dante Moore. Our two highest rated recruits decommitted Keely officially and Peyton Bowen Will any day now.
