yeah they have money but they are being frugal.. They are not making the inroads to the bluechip players that Jimbo did... as of yet under Elko..

There is no buzz for the 5 stars near their area.. Devin Sanchez came out and said no more visits, he is locked in with tosu.. If Jimbo were still there, I don't think Sanchez would have pulled the trigger when he did. Galveston is notorious for sending their top rated kids to aggy too..Jonah Williams is saying the right things but people close to him are saying they are not a serious contender for him as of now..

Still are taking hits in the portal.. their shitastic overrated as Center is no longer on the team..which should be a good thing but their OL needs bodies.

Their fans are raving about how great the DL was in the spring game..which they were.. but man the OL looked even more horrible.

Not sure how optimistic @fordman84 feels but I would be favoring ND as of now

On the DL, even with their losses their DL better be good. That class they bought for $100 billion dollars had like 30 DL in it.

This move seems to be more of a move similar to what Bama did when Saban came in. He clean house of all the old Bear sycophants who were going to run things their way. Saban put an end to that. My guess is that he is getting rid of a lot of the old guard and brining in new people.

Of course, the big news will be when they get rid of those weirdo yell leader dudes:

not sure if you have been paying attention but the DL they have lost.. and the ones they are bringing in through the portal.. are not remotely the same.. Plus Brown Didley or whatever has been hurt or dealing with an injury.. rumor is that he too may end up in the portal.. Enai White hasn't done a thing and he too was part of that epic class..

Shamar Stewart is a stud though and he returns on the DL too.

Weigman is something they are worried about to.. The fans think he's gonna be remarkable while their own $9.95ers are saying their sources are telling them, he isn't a lock to start.. Moss would be the starting RB but it's probably like a committee since no one is emerging.. Probably because how bad the OL is. U have to look further than rankings when it comes to their OL.. the kid from Austin has been getting his ass kicked all spring.. the other kid from NJ (OT) got benched for a walk on (or someone much less heralded) during the spring. Foster is gone..

Only guy i would have confidence in their secondary is Bryce Anderson.. and they are still looking for WRs through the portal.. it's what you would expect in year 1 under a new coach.. but the expectations are much higher than even Elko would want

That was part of the contract work I did for the Texas Education Agency after I retired. I wasn’t a popular person when I was placed in the district and given the authority. Had to have DPS escort me to/from board meetings a few times. I could tell you things that you would swear I made up. They were that unbelievable.

If medication won’t loosen it up, you just have to give the patient a good old fashioned enema when all those “ set in stone” turds are stuck up in the intestines and won’t move on their own.
 
I knew a guy in Tulsa who was facing the expected fallout from a staff reduction at a pretty good sized company. So he gave every employee a letter and a stub at the bottom. It said "The company must reduce its number of employees in order to streamline operations and improve our operating results. Please vote on which option you prefer we use to accomplish that goal. (A) Use a lottery. (B) Base everything on merit reviews. This is America; tell us your preference by putting your vote in the Suggestion Box". The merit reviews won in a landslide.
