It wouldn't actually cost me much, just time out looking for dove nests. Maybe @kobesgame has some foraging tips.sounds like that would make for an expensive poop...what's the point?

I'm unfamiliar with modern Passover celebrations. What do you do to celebrate it (besides the obvious meal with family)? Is there a traditional food you prepare?I'm not sure I've ever actively tried to watch golf until yesterday. We had family over for dinner to celebrate Passover, so there was a lot of prep yesterday for that. I put on The Masters while we worked and I really enjoyed it.

Passover is a celebration commemorating the story of Exodus.
We do that for Easter.I'm guessing there's lamb
I too did not watch the maters. Bowled yesterday for the first time in years. Went to try on my shoes and the fucking soles came off. Didn't get better when I got to the lanes. think my high was in the 160s, rough day.Morning. Didn't watch any of the Masters. Golf & tennis are 2 sports I rarely watch. They are entertaining when in a playoff for golf or tight match for tennis. Just not usually my watching forte.
Wisconsin's dominant religious denominations are Catholic and Lutheran. It's maybe 1% Jewish and the vast majority of Jews in this state are in the Milwaukee area. Therefore, modern Jewish customs and traditions are quite foreign to me. I have knowledge of Passover origin and ancient Jewish customs through Biblical accounts; just have no idea how Jews observe it in 2025. And I've heard of Yom Kippur, but I don't know what it's about or how it's observed.Passover is a celebration commemorating the story of Exodus. Mrs Redfoot's family are reformed Jews and my family is not Jewish, so we don't necessarily celebrate holidays in the traditional ways.
Before dinner, we'll discuss the Seder Plate that has different foods that represent different things.
For dinner, we generally make a braised brisket with carrots and onions. It's really good. We'll also have matzah crackers because you're not supposed to eat leavened bread.
It's a fine holiday, but my favorite Jewish holiday is Yom Kippur.

Thanks for the extra knowledge.Yom Kippur is the holiest day and it centers on atonement and repentance. You're supposed to fast until Sundown (I do), and then we break the fast with traditional Jewish food like bagels and lox, egg salad, different fishes (sable, etc).
We go to the temple service in the morning and I started a tradition where I take my three kids on a hike in the afternoon - Mrs Redfoot doesn't go because she doesn't want to burn the energy while fasting.
A lot of introspection. It's not a "fun" holiday, but it means a lot to me.
I'm pretty religious, but I don't subscribe to any specific faith. I take bits and pieces from all of them and mix them together into something that speaks to me. I think all the religions are right, and all the religions have the potential to be wrong.
just kind of what people seem to consider acceptable these days...Why does everyone suck? It can't just be social media and targeted stuff. How do people have 2 ears, 2 eyes, and 0 common sense?
None of what you said is a coherent thought, and you're allegedly an "engineer", so that does explain it.just kind of what people seem to consider acceptable these days...
at least that's my take
what isn't coherent?None of what you said is a coherent thought, and you're allegedly an "engineer", so that does explain it.
We live in different worlds.what isn't coherent?
people have a different idea of what is considered "acceptable" these days...and in my opinion, their idea of "acceptable" sucks and therefore, they suck
Scary seems to be the issue hereWhy does everyone suck? It can't just be social media and targeted stuff. How do people have 2 ears, 2 eyes, and 0 common sense?
Pretty sure no citizens will go there. We live in different worlds.
To say we're going to send American citizens to gulags in El Salvador isn't acceptable
I 100% agree with youWe live in different worlds.
