Bookie:
$ 1,000.00
Finally get a trailer and release date for what must be the longest in development mini series ever.

Through two episodes. Feels overly contrived.
Dialogue is platitudinous.

That one actor still thinks he’s doing Elvis.

I said that too and it turns out he is working with a speech specialist because he can’t stop.

It’s like a play. Not very cinematic.

1. It isn't paying in the Cinema
2. You ain't getting those bomber scenes in a play
3. They are bomber crews they have two locations on base and in the air that is why it feels like a play I guess

It's an interesting story and they are doing it right. No one is supposed to have magical powers, no aliens are showing up and it's based on a true story so it's grounded in reality. Just sit back and enjoy.

This x1000. Just like Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Hacksaw Ridge etc, remember that all this shit actually happened and was done and experienced by real men, most of which were really just kids.

No one is asking for Aliens nor magic nor mentioned either.
The exterior bomber scenes are a very small part and not done very well at all.
It’s an interesting topic in general , the one they’re telling is not a very interesting story, and they are not doing it well.
They’re trying to skate by on the topic, and you’re letting it be an excuse for a boring motion picture.

Look you are going to watch the show, enjoy the show and quit bitching about the show.

That is now your job.

In the end, you’re right. But if Sigourney Weaver doesn’t take her clothes off soon and kill some xenomorphs, I’m out.

That’s fair.

Pretty sure that's how we pushed the Germans back through the Bulge.

Nah. The dialog in this is for the audience, not natural to the characters. It’s all sorts of below meh.

Watched the first two episodes today. Better than I was expecting. I do wonder if the formula it is going to have to follow every episode of on base, then shit going crazy in air to back on base stuff will get too played out before the end of the 9 or 10 or however many episodes there are.

4 episodes in and spoiler

How the fuck do you kill a main character off screen? I hope that means he isn't really dead and crashed somewhere
.
