Matt Campbell to Auburn?

Last time they hired the Iowa State HC, they won a natty in year two. But I still think they’d be more well served hiring a coach with recruiting connections in the south
 
I think it will be one of the following:

- Lane Kiffin - Fan favorite right now
- Hugh Freeze
- Jeff Grimes
- Dion Sanders - he will be interviewed but will have to smash it to have a shot

I keep hearing Jeff Grimes from multiple people but it doesn't excite me his name has come up so much that it wouldn't shock me. Personally, I hope its Kiffin and they do what it takes to get him.

I will say this there is a lot of buzz about Prime Time but I think that is madness and too much of a gamble and that is the one thing we can't do.

Grimes could be a Mark Stoops or Sam Pittman type hire but it makes me nervous.

Nobody is talking about Kendal Briles but if I'm the AD I go after Kiffin and then I go after Briles but that is me and they aren't asking for my opinion. I think if you paired up Briles with Travis Williams as DC you would have an electric young coaching staff that would make a lot of mistakes but make some serious waves.
 
I like Campbell but he doesn't seem like a fit for the SEC
