What will Cleveland do when Watson is suspended for the season?

He’s good every other year, so he’ll probably have a big year this year and then suck again next year

Looks to me like the Browns paid the Panthers to take Mayfield.
Let me confirm this for you: The Brown's paid Carolina to take Mayfield.

And the Browns likely would've received a 3rd round compensatory pick if they would've kept him as "Watson Insurance" and let him walk in free agency after this season. If Baker sits out, the Browns fine him - recovering a nice chunk of what they owed anyway.

Cam is a Hall of Famer.
Hall of Shame for this pathetic effort

The Browns went 1-31, drafted the guy who'd be their best QB since Kosar, he took them to a playoff win in year 3 for the first time in decades (and nearly a AFCCG appearance), gets hurt and still has them in playoff contention and then they dump him for a guy who Roethlisberger thinks is too much of a serial sex offender and is staring down a year+ long suspension. The serial sex offender's contract is also so backloadedly expensive it'll cause an inevitable roster gutting, and instead of trying to maximize on that year where the serial sex offender's contract doesn't count much against the cap they're going into the year with Jacoby Brissett and Josh Dobbs as QBs.

This is why the Browns are the Browns.

You make it sound like a bad decision.

Can Mayfield replace Darnold?

Is nobody going to mention the fact that, in Week 1, the Browns play at Carolina?
