Could be much ado about nothing, but still it's something to tide us over until games.

Yep and all practices have now been moved indoors and players are not available now either.

I don’t see how Caleb isn’t the starter after last week. Rattler has never impressed me, especially not this year.

A coach that doesn’t play the QB that gives his team the best chance to win is Kirby Smart. You don’t want to be Kirby Smart

I always think it's funny how secretive football coaches get with this shit. They make it a bigger story by not just saying, "yeah, we're playing the kid who's performed better".

I think Rattler's time at QB for OU is done. I saw a clip of him after the Texas game, he was walking by himself to the lockerroom instead of celebrating with the team on the field.

Once a QB is broken and then benched like that, it's hard for them to come back from it.

Spencer Rattler is going to look great as Arizona's starting QB next year.

The whole situation is unique. Rattler has led his team to the longest winning streak in college football. He hasn't lost since before the Texas game last year. Very strange situation.

You mean....he hasn't lost because another QB came in and won the game....

Isnt that similar to what happened with Jalen Hurt and Tua? Should Bama kept Hurt as the starter over Tua?

To me it’s similar to the Hurts-Tua situation at Bama. Hurts won a lot of games, but Tua was the more talented QB

Another similar situation was Fromm and Fields. Fromm had won a bunch of games, but Fields was the more talented QB. Kirby chose Fromm and Fields transferred out and dominated with Ohio State while Fromm regressed in his junior year

Fields went to Ohio State and Burrow went to LSU

How we think as fans is very different than how a coach has to think. If I had to guess Rattler will start with Williams coming in on the 3rd series (this will be planned and communicated to the QBs) if Rattler is doing great he will go back in but if he is average and Williams has the hot hand then Riley will stick with him.

That makes zero sense to us but from an internal team perspective, Riley doesn't want to give the impression that you will lose your job for one bad performance (we know it is more than that but he has to justify the switch) or he will have kids that are playing scared.

This way he doesn't look like he is bailing on Rattler and throwing him under the bus by giving him an opportunity to win his job on the field and it sets Williams up to win it if he falters.

Every game except directional U Carolina had been 1 fucking score victories. The offense is not performing. If Riley is too chicken shit to make the change then he's not cut out to be the coach at Oklahoma. You didn't see coach Saban be a bitch when Hurts was struggling. He made a coaching decision and stuck with it.
