The guitar player George Harris, is the son of Iron Maiden's Steve Harris.

Saw them open for Iron Maiden on the Legacy of the Beast Tour, They're pretty good.

Yeah, whistling isn't something he typically does on a record.

Avatar are big fans of South Park; they even included a cover of a South Park song as bonus track on Feathers & Flesh. One thing South Park has done is bring in huge celebrities as guest voices, but then have them perform obscure vocal contributions to the show - like having George Clooney bark as "Sparky the dog". In that vein, Johannes Eckerstrom - Avatar's lead singer - loved the concept of bringing in a huge name as a featured guest to their album and having him contribute in an obscure way.

...That's behind-the-scenes insight on Corey Taylor's whistling on "A Secret Door"... and, I gotta tell ya... ...that whistling elevated the song to sonic heights beyond a Corey Taylor guest verse. It was f'n genius!
