Now that they're signed, it's solidified that Michigan finishes with the #1 recruiting class. It's bonkers.

They've been a basketball school going on a decade now for sure. Hell you can even make the case they were in the 70's, 80's and 90's. 2000-2010 Michigan sucked in bball though.

now they just need a coach

Newsflash: They've been a basketball school for the past 30+ years with the exception of the late 90's - 2008

We'll see how Howard does. He's certainly recruiting well. It's hard NOT to win with this kind of talent.
eh, Michigan has two 5*'s, with the next highest ranked recruit coming in @ #59. recruiting rankings outside of the top 25-40, depending on the strength of the class, can be a crapshoot

this isn't a UK/Duke type of class.

It can be if you're relying heavily on a class like that. Just ask Memphis #1 class this past year, probably would have been headed to the NIT. I think Michigan is more stable as a program though, so adding this class on top of class this year along with guys like Wagner, Michigan should be okay. If you get one of those 5 stars to stick around and extra year, that's when you can become a title contender.

Michigan has always been a bball school even if their fans didn't know it

Michigan has had an outstanding recruiting class for 2021 and they may still have another scholarship to use. But Duke is still recruiting and may sign at least two more 5-star recruits, maybe a high 4 Star. If Baldwin and Keels sign it would give them an unbelievable class. And they have Bediako still holding an offer. That's Rivals #1 in Baldwin, #16 Keels, and #25 Bediako. They would join #2 Banchero and #7 Griffin. IDK if they would then have a #1 recruiting class but it would be damn close. And they may not get anybody else. But there's a good chance they do.

Yep. We'll see if Howard and Hardaway at Memphis can coach. It seems a lot of talent is drawn to a coach that played in the NBA. Recruiting seems good but the jury is still out on the coaching part.

Maybe they will be able beat Ohio State this year

Howard did a pretty good job last year with the talent that was on the team. Hardaway is the one I'd be worried about. Howard filled out his staff better IMO than Hardaway did, which I think helps. Getting Martelli to join was huge given all the experience.

We just got our 1st 5 star ever.

The Mayor baby!
