What was Missouri doing on that last series?

Kind of petty but we couldn't buy a hold earlier this year. Teams were handing on our d-linemen and it wasn't getting called. Especially bad in Florida game.

That should have been offsetting. They call it on defense only. Missouri has reason to complain.

Well that was the Tennessee defense I saw against Florida, blowing big 4th down plays with bad defense.
 
Too easy drops there by Hyatt. Both were 1st downs. Frustrating.
 
@brin3535, the game play coaching by Missouri is bad.

Sloppy game overall but Missouri has me scratching my head at times with some of their decisions.
 
Horrible coaching. This asshole just got a three year extension on his contract. You deserve to suck Mizzou. You deserve it.

Funny that your horrible coaching and some of our blown defensive coverages and dropped passes have even out to make it a 28-17 game. If Missouri had better coaching, this game could be tied or Missouri even have lead.

If Tennessee would execute better, it would be a blowout.
 
Tennessee gave them points right there. They should have just pinned them deep with a punt. They get the ball to start the 2nd half already.

Clock management was HORRENDOUS. Call the timeout and take a shot in the end zone.

Yeah, we have had some poor decisions. The first TD drive was setup by us going for it on 4th and 5 instead of kicking the FG. The second TD was very bad coverage on 4th and 1.

Our offense has had a lot of mistakes including the two drops by Hyatt.

I think Heupel gets a little aggressive when we make mistakes and goes for it. It reminds me of most people on EA NCAA Football. You have a bad drop or mistake and you just want a second chance at it and you go for it as a result. That doesn't necessarily translate to a good decision or strategy.

Heupel reminds of the Detroit Lions head coach. He goes for it on 4th down over and over too. He uses the strategy because Detroit has to take chances to beat teams in the NFL. Tennessee doesn't need to take the risks.

I had a feeling Missouri would give us trouble. I am surprised of the score, I was expecting something like 17-7 or 24-10 at half. Missouri is almost a clone of the Pittsburgh team we played earlier in the year. Great defensive front but meh offense.
