This marzen season I've started doing something weird. I've always enjoyed a good octoberfest but as my palate has been destroyed by IPA after IPA, I've found marzen lacks that BITE! My wife got a Costco size case of S A Octoberfest on Saturday and I poured half and half with Surly Furious. It was interestingly good, not great. Might try a less malty ipa next time.
