Good job finding one thing which absolutely won't happen.

Cards might take on the awful Corbin contract in a Soto trade to save prospects but that's the only way it would happen. Not my money so I wouldn't care if they took a chance and see if they could straighten him out since Cards pitchers are all on the DL.

That's a high price, especially for such a highly rated farm system. I would expect to see 3 of top 5 go for a bottom third farm system, not a top 5. However, with a top 5 farm system that means they likely have plenty of other prospects. If Castillo fits a need for them both this year and next, I applaud the move (even as a division rival). It is highly unlikely 1 of those 3 becomes a contributor at the majors level, so roll the dice on a better known commodity.

I just looked at the post draft farm rankings and SEA dropped WAY down the list when Julio wasn't factored into the rankings anymore. Of the players traded only 1, Marte, was in the top 100.

Teams are getting better at keeping things hidden until it happens. As a Braves fan, I've just decided to not pay attention to any trade rumors for the Braves, because they're never right and I never question any move AA makes since they all seem to turn to gold.
