Mock Drafts : Chat

This could be one of the ideas for the NBA portion of the next super draft.

I THINK I MAY ADD A TWIST OF WE USE THIS ONE

Welcome to the NBA Draft.

We will choose a team of 10 players.

You will choose two players from each decade : 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's

To be eligible the players first game played in the NBA had to be in the decade you select him for.

EX... Wilt Chamberlain will not be eligible because his first came was in 1959.

Each of the 10 players you select will play 24 minutes.

Players who play the 1st quarter will also play the 3rd quarter. Obviously meaning players who play the 2nd quarter will also play the 4th quarter.

The rules for this draft are simple, we will play like old school rules. Meaning, hand checking is allowed, elbow in the back is allowed. if you have Michael Jordan not dribbling once while bringing the ball up court that is allowed.

Questions?

Why don't we go back to back on a superdraft with a decades theme. Already have the MLB and NBA set up.

NFL
QB/RB/FB/TE/WR/WR/WR - 50(under)/60/70/80/90/00/WC
OL - 60(under)/70/80/90/00

Front 7 - 50(under)/60/70/80/90/00/WC
DBs - 60(under)/70/80/90/00

I think 3 of the same type drafts will be boring honestly, mixing the drafts up is what makes it fun IMO. Anybody else wanna chime in?

Maybe a Phase Draft as part of the new Super Draft.

I would change a few of these.

1. Never won an NBA Championship.
2. Averaged at least 29.0 points in at least one season.
3. Played a game in 1969
4. Drafted in the 90's.
5. Played in 3 All Star games or less. (Player must have played a game prior to 2010)
6. Won Multiple NBA Championships.
7. 200 steals in at least one season.
8. 1,200 rebounds in at least one season.
9. Non US born player.
10. Averaged less than 10 points per game.

Everyone plays 24 minutes.

What phases should we change?

NFL CAP

The decades used will be.

1960's, 1970's, 1980's, 1990's, 2000's.

You will draft FIVE players from 4 of those decades and FOUR players from 1 of those decades, you get to decide.

The Salary Cap for each decade is $26.

We will draft the same positions as usual.

What's always been interesting is how to view current NBA players in terms of these drafts.

In 2015, I would have viewed UK's team as probably the 2nd strongest after Shane's. But considering how Blake fell off, if I had to rank these based on the overall combo of players, I would have him towards the bottom.

Yes, even if it's not a super draft and rather a single sport draft. Maybe use one of the formats we discussed for a super draft for an individual sport?

2 of my 4 fantasy baseball leagues ended yesterday.
