No soccer this past weekend, lots of dance. Got to see my dad on Saturday, he seems to be doing well. Says he feels better, energy-wise, than he has in a while thanks to the gallbladder coming out.

Wife was able to do some stuff for the in-laws, including coloring her mom's hair. Apparently, it was a bit of a surprise to her mom that a hairdresser coming to the house to cut her hair would be more expensive than going to Great Clips.

Nothing else exciting to add. Have a good one, twats!

I wish the Indians/Yankees game had the 4pm time slot today.

It's an early bed time for me tonight.

Agree there. I prolly won't get home till around 9:30 so likely going to miss most if not all of it

Tomorrow is gym day for me so I usually try to be sleeping by 9pm. If it was an elimination or World Series game, I'd adjust my schedule, but not for this.

Hope they can steal one or two in NY. Go Tribe!

morning all

Saturday night went over to my sisters for dinner, was fun to catch up with everyone, my niece was in town as she was evacuate from Tampa, but she flew back yesterday and classes resume today

Yesterday took my buddy to a bbq place for his birthday, was fun. BBQ was pretty good, but it was pretty hyped, the pork belly burnt ends didn't live up to standards I have PB burnt ends, but brisket and ribs were good

Only team left I don't actively hate. Was having a hard time explaining to Tank that I was rooting for a meteor strike during the Dodgers/Mets series.

I have barely watched any of the NL games, just can't get excited about any of them

it feels funny cheering for the Yankees.

My wife is a licensed cosmetologist who has since redirected herself to a different profession due to the physical toll doing hair did to her and the ridiculously low income it produced. She loved the work, but multiple surgeries along with the $8/hr base pay plus $5 tip on a 4-hour color + up-do for a cunty teen for prom was enough for her to bail.

Salons don't make money. Beauticians don't make money unless they've got an extensive private wealthy clientele. My son got a job as a package handler at FedEx and his starting pay was equivalent to my wife's after 10 years in the profession as she was managing three salons. It's pretty ridiculous.

Folks, tip your hairdressers well. Like waitresses, hairdressers are typically payed much lower base pay because of their tips. Unlike waitresses, hairdressers aren't handling a dozen clients at once, they're handling one. You.

Youth football season is officially over. 2 more weeks of guaranteed high school football in Indiana & Ohio. With my 49ers playing Thursday & Michigan on a bye it was a different football weekend. Able to watch a few different college games like the old days. Watched a little NFL but the matchups weren't too interesting. I'll watch some tonight as Bossy is a Jets fan & Dodger a Bills fan. Watch the twins fight!

Why are you cheering for them?
well I think a Dodgers-Yankees WS would be really good for one thing.

second, I want to continue to get laid after I am married.

Based on a few salon owners I know, YMMV I guess.

That said, what is considered a good tip? It takes the woman who does my hair about fifteen minutes to cut/wash/style my hair and I leave a $5 tip.
