Monday Mourning

wow, just realized how productive i've been in the past year working from home. i've watched over 500 movies year to date (the number is closer to 600, it's pretty sad).
fuck am i bored. i think i might actually start going down the list and giving my thoughts on each of the movies.

1. The Boat (2018) – I actually confused this with a different movie later in the list called Harpoon. It had a cool poster, Upon further reflection there was only one actor in this one and it was no All is Lost with Robert Redford. Shite and forgettable.

2. Extraction (2020) – Thor beating up kids was definitely a highlight of the year.

3. The Darkness (2016) – Kevin Bacon, what you doing? Where’d you go wrong?

4. The Lodge (2019) – Fuck them kids.

5. Birdy (1984) – Movie where one dude thinks he’s a fucking bird with Nick Cage and the dude that thinks he’s a bird and fucking weird isn’t Nick Cage, man times have changed.

6. Gorky Park (1983) – Gotta be honest, I’m not remembering much of this one.

7. Dreamkatcher (2020) – Horror darling as of the 2010s Lin Shaye along with the lady from Silent Hill and the kid from ET and it’s shite. Who would have thought.

8. Paterson (2016) – I really just don’t get the appeal of Adam Driver. Decent enough fellow in this movie, but another miss from Jarmusch for me. He misses more than he hits with me. But if a dude named Paterson that lives in Paterson, NJ sounds cool to you, have at it. Did I mention he drives a bus and writes poetry, because it’s a Jim Jarmusch movie, so of course he does.

9. God’s Own Country (2017) – Sheep farming, binge drinking, dude’s fucking dudes, what’s not to like?

10. Get on the Bus (1996) – A Spike Lee movie where whitey isn’t the devil (I mean he is, but we’re going to focus on infighting between our group of black men and our differences which takes away from our battle against the scourge of the whites).

11. A Most Violent Year (2014) – Cool name with a nice cast that I really don’t recall much of making it mostly forgettable.

12. Shakma (1990) – So fucking bad while being so fucking good. Dorky doctors in training? Playing a dorky live D&D type game inside a hospital/research lab? With a crazy monkey on the loose, what’s not to like?

13. A Star is Born (1937) – Saw the other 50 versions, it was background noise at best.

14. Sands of Iwo Jima (1949) – John Wayne fights against people not in the Western US.

15. Lawless (2012) – Like the cast, but meh.

16. Mother (2009) – Joon Ho Bong gang, what’s up! Dude makes solid movies.

17. Open Season (2006) – I have no recollection of this, probably something I put on when I was drunk knowing I didn’t care if I recalled it.

18. Jaws: The Revenge (1987) – Don’t think I ever saw it before, not bad enough to be good.

19. Den of Thieves (2018) – I had my doubts about a movie with 50 cent in it, but it was surprisingly good as far as heist movies go.

20. That Stand at Paxton County (2020) – Based on a true story. Was fucked up to learn that this type of shit was going on.

Only 500+ more to go, when do the Phillies come on again?

I’m getting sick. Started with lungs getting congested.

It’s been a pleasure commanding and fighting with you bastards.

Very low-grade fever, a little achiness but overall just feels like two shedding chinchillas having a serious fuck session in my sinus cavity. Drip, drip, drip. Just ate the good sinus medicine with the speed in it... :hope:

new garage, stripper pole barn, you lifted your house up to add like 4 more stories (which I didn't even know was a thing). true ballers. huxtables should have stepped their game up.
Garage/pole barn = the same structure.
