I’m okay with monitoring it if I have the time like I did yesterday. But that’s rare. So if I want to smoke anything, it’s almost always going to be something set and forget.

both pellet and gravity feeds are that way. You set the controller and they just feed fuel automatically. No guess work at all and if you fill the bin, you wont run out of fuel

Pellet Grills use pellets
Gravity feeds use charcoal and wood chunks

i have no first hand experience with either, but all reviews are good for both.

I'm tempted to buy this, plenty of good reviews out there

if you want set and forget, I'd look at Pellet or Gravity feed, both work well in those regards, but I have no hands on experience. I doubt they draw as much power as an electric

mine draws enough power to run the auger and the onboard computer. The heat source is pellets.

I've been thinking about gravity feed masterbuilt, they use charcoal instead of pellets and get to higher temps. But I'd break my self imposed rule of no plug in outdoor cookers

I only fire up the smoker about 15 times a year. Can’t justify anything more than the smoker, gas grill, and charcoal grill.

Went to pick up wife at work yesterday. Had a craving so I went through the McDonalds drive thru. 1/4 pounder, fries, coke and a fish sandwich. $13+. WTF.

Mrs Pnk picked me up and I hadn't eaten all day so we stopped at first place on way back home.

I got a big mac, should've got 1/4 pounder it's better burger or their new spicy chicken sandwich.

I don't know, it's my understanding if you go to taco bell you just hand them $5 and they throw a bunch of stuff in the bag based off what they think you need.

I stick with chicken sandwiches when we go there. But we’ve been trying to get the kids into places other than McD’s when we have to stop for fast food. Preferably Jimmy John’s, BK, or Taco John’s.
