More GA Drama, This Time Involving Jalen Carter

There might be some truth to it. I don’t think Carter looks like a better prospect than Suh, Donald or JJ Watt did coming out of college.
Not sure I follow ... that would be incredible company to be in. And I am sure they all had great work ethic.

Donald reinvented the DT in the NFL. Carter is substantially bigger, but with the same quickness and strength. There is a reason he has been listed as top 5 all season:

We’ve established that interior defensive line pressure is invaluable in the modern NFL. Carter can be a transformative force for a defense in that regard. At 6’3″, 310 pounds, he has just about everything you could ask for.

Carter has elite burst, power capacity, and upper-body torque. He has a devastating combination of natural leverage and proportional length. And he’s a violent rusher with heavy hands, amped-up usage, relentless energy, and the lateral agility to quickly offset blockers and capitalize.

Meanwhile, in run defense, Carter’s natural leverage, play strength, and instincts provide utility as well. With his build, the Georgia DT profiles best as a 3-technique at the next level. As a 4-3 defensive tackle or a 3-4 defensive end, Carter can wreak havoc with his physical tools and relentless hands. But he also has enough athleticism to shade outside, stunt, and be multiple — another important quality for modern defensive linemen.

All that said, he has to be sure these charges don't go from misdemeanor to felony, or he's fucked.

Not sure I follow ...

Just from watching games, I thought Suh, for example, looked like a sure fire no.1 pick. I thought JJ Watt would be a beast in the NFL. Carter seems like a different type of player than them both, and I was initially surprised to see him so high in mocks for not being a sack artist.

But I’m just armchair quarterback fan going off my own eye test.

A source from a team that is picking high in the first round and is at a team that is very strict on character said Carter is almost off their board regardless of the result of the incident. Carter already had make-up concerns, so they had worries about his character and work ethic. That source said he doesn't think their team will want to deal with Carter's lack of work ethic and poor decision-making.
I guess Will Anderson it is then

Yes and no. Certainly he is not helping himself. But the talent is there. His agent - Drew Rosenhouse - has a few months to get him in shape physically and then meet with teams and show that he is back on track. He is too talented to fall too far. But he sure is costing himself millions. Dumbass.

There is some talk around the boards that he might be having some serious mental issues. He was racing with teammates and friends that go killed, a warrant for his arrest is put out the day of the combine, and now there are nothing but questions and articles about his character, etc. This is a really good kid from a good family. He was never a problem at UGA. The opposite in fact ... he found out a walk-on wasn't getting full meals and paid for full meals for all walkon DLs. He and his family do annual give aways for poor kids. He came back from injury when he could have packed it in. This is really out of character and I hope he is getting good advice and gets fixed, quickly.

And I’m unhappeh because I eat.

I eat because I’m unhappeh.

And I’m unhappeh because I eat.
I drink cause I have unresolved issues, and started drinking at a young age, while my frontal cortex was still developing, and it turned into a form of functional alcoholism, through developmental chemical dependance.
