lol.. he was never gonna drop and all the buzz is confirming that because if he was still available at 10, teams would be trading up. NFL ain't stupid Talent>morals/ethics/etc

Most of the quotes about what a bad person he is were started by teams that wanted him to fall to them. The kid made a mistake, which of you didn't race cars when you were his age? At the end of the day he has incredible talent and size, and that gets you paid in the NFL.

The difference between regular people and professional athletes -- someone isn't signing a regular person to a guaranteed contract worth 10's of millions of dollars. He won't drop, but it will be because of the value of his position and the scarcity of elite talent for his position. So I don't see him dropping out of the top 10 and as a Lions fan, if they don't run to the podium at #6, I will be pissed.

If he were say a CB -- I think he'd fall in the draft, as there are a lot of top CB's out there. So the red flag seems minimal to us, but it is something big to GM's who are putting their job on the line to draft a player with red flags, because if he doesn't work, they will end up out of a job.

Along with being named in the civil suit for the death of the Georgia player there is this video now too, apparently

so fucking dumb. Georgia bull dog in car with other georgia bull dogs repping the bloods (or you know, wearing the colors of the georgia bull dogs).

Yeah. I feel like the media does this every year with a high end draft prospect that gets in a little controversy. Everything he does after that will somehow be spun into this terrible thing.

Probably not the last time we see his name in the news bc of it

For his sake, hopefully he can ignore it and just focus on the beginning of his NFL career

Beat me too it. Assuming a black guy wearing red is repping the Bloods is kinda racist too

I don't know if I would qualify twitter user GOATED_LF or sportsmockery as news outlets.

Wasn’t Carter the first out of the gate to sign a contract?

He knew this was coming and needed the money!
Maybe. But these rookie deals are pretty much standardized now.

lol he's in a blood gang for wearing red? lol

This is so fucking stupid.

1. He's not driving. The camera is reversed as any 3rd grade girl would know.
2. He's not wearing gang colors ... he's in the car with 3 other EagleDawgs - Smith, Ringo (in the back), and Davis driving.
3. This guy got blown up on Twitter and he insisted he's been in all the gang neighborhoods in Philly, never mind the facts.

So, you have some douchebag saying shit that isn't true, and anohter douchebag just amplifying the initial douchebag.

Yeah, like I said earlier, I think Jalen Carter is this years target for "let's put everything he does under a microscope" bc of the drag racing mistake.

Young men do stupid things ... this has been going on for years. I used to drag race myself as did many friends. Was there malicious intent? Did he do something dumb? I don't know to either question. May the first one who has never done anything dumb cast the first stone. It will not be me!!! Jalen Carter just play ball, and do your best (except when playing the Lions).
