I think we finally have next step for my FIL planned, we got long term stay covered and just need to get him placed which could take a few weeks

It's going to be interesting to see how my in-laws are holding up. Basically MiL got released from the nursing home because she was becoming an injury liability for them. She wasn't fully healed, but she kept trying to do stuff on her own if the aides weren't fast enough for her liking. They haven't really bothered my wife for much other than some stuff we've been ordering for them off Amazon.
