At least tark cared about his players, and they truly loved him. He slso was cleared of wrong doing, and won a law suit against the NCAA. His own AD tried to sabotage him.

Didn't that asshole Steve Wynn have a hand in forcing Tark outta UNLV? And didn't Tark take the NCAA to court and won?

I dont think wynn had anything to do with it. The AD hated Tark, because Tark had more power than him. He let his ego get the best of him, and prematurely turned over, what he thought was iron clad, proof to the NCAA about tarks wrong doings.

The AD was fired not long after, and run out of town on a rail. He is the single biggest reason for the fall of UNLVs basketball program

Thanks for the info. Wasn't exactly sure. When I was living out there heard from more than one local that they thought Wynn didn't like Tark because of his popularity. Any truth to that? Also heard Wynn one one of the last casino owners to dim the lights in honor or Tark after he died.

Whenever I think this question, my answer is always going to be Jim Valvano. I don't know why, but I just believe that book.

For the current guys, I picked Bruce Pearl. Dude is just dirty.

Cal probably used to be, but he doesn't need to do that anymore, just sell the one and done, either we win or we don't, you'll be in the NBA, yada yada...

For a single event it has to be Bliss. (I also hated him when he was at New Mexico but that's another story.)

Over a long period of time it has to be Pitino or Cal.
