Most Deserving Champions Ever - Ohio State Buckeyes 2024

I can give you a long list of QB's who were #1 on their team, drafted and never amounted to anything.

I am a Browns fan.

Being drafted doesn't mean much. NFL personnel directors, especially those working for the Browns, are idiots.

You are arguing something unrelated to the topic.

Cardale was not a scrub college qb.

He really was. He couldn't even hold the starting job in 2015 after leading the Buckeyes to the championship in 2014.

He lost his job to JT Barrett, for goodness sake. I love JT but he was not a great passer.

Feel free to post Cardale's 2014 season game stats and tell us how much of a scrub he was.

Maybe the most clownish take I've ever seen from @cwerph , which is saying something.

His 2 playoff games

243 yards 1 TD 1 INT
242 yards 1 TD 1 INT

not exactly lighting the world on fire.

13TD/7INT in his career in the regular season after that.

Guy got drafted but only based on his size.

OSU fans shitting all over a QB that led them to a title is wild.

Poor Will Howard has this to look forward to in 10 years.

Cardale was perfect for Tom Herman's offense that postseason. Not only could he pick up chunk yards on the ground, but he had a cannon arm and we had a lid-lifter in Devin Smith. Dude had 7 catches in the three postseason games that year, going 7/269/4, averaging 38 (!!) yards per catch. When Herman left after the title, Urban made the unbelievably stupid decision to make Ed Warinner and Tim Beck co-OCs, and neither knew what they were doing, hence why our offense fell off that season until Urban took over playcalling. That's still one of the most talented teams to not win a NC this century, and that is squarely on Urban.

Dude nobody is shitting on him it's just a fact that he wasn't a very great QB, he balled out vs Wisconsin but was pretty just ok in the playoff. Then he was not good the rest of his career after that.

Lol spoken like a true SEC hack "we didnt make it so it doesn't matter much!"

wait until you find out the playoffs don't matter as much.

MnB and his brethren are legit acting like its better to go 8-5 than win the national championship, shits hilarious.
Bobby Carpenter said on his podcast he would trade a pair of gold pants for another national championship in a hot second.

Anyone with a brain would.

Saban put it perfectly when he pointed out how they lost to Auburn when they won the title in 2017. Nobody cares about that except for Auburn fans.

What *some* don't realize is eventually this situation may be reversed and they will have to eat their words.

If you aren't a troll or dumbshit, it's impossible not to respect the gauntlet OSU weathered for this title. It's highly unlikely we see a team do what they did in terms of total top 5/top 10 wins in the final poll en route to a national title anytime soon. This is one of the most incredible runs in college football history.
