Wanted to start a thread where all us junkies can give some underrated players across the country for others to keep an eye on.

These are the guys that might not be getting All america or draft lottery hype but when you watch them they really stand out.

Can be from your own team, players on opponents youve come away impressed by or just any player from any random game youve watched.

From my own team

Filip Rebraca- UND transfer was pedestrian last year but has really really come on this year. To the point he could legitimately be an All B10 type player

Not from my team

Tucker Devries G Drake

6'7 sophomore with great range and toughness. Averaging 18/6 for the Bulldogs who could make the tourney out of the MVC

Well, Rebraca was one I was going to give so I'll let rmilia claim his own guy.

Another BIG10 player when I watch is Tyson Walker for MSU. Hes always very steady when I watch, 1.2 TOs a game, makes a lot of big shots. I have no stats to support but he seems to kill it in the dying mid range when I watch. He just really smooth.

Sensabaugh for OSU. I think most recognize how good he is, but he doesnt get talked about like most freshman. What a player

Jamarius Burton Pitt- Hes absolutely found another level as a senior at Pitt and the reason they have surprised. An complete force as a guard inside the arc. Pitt will continue to need himt o surprise

Grant Basile VT. Really quality player. Can do a bit of everything. SOlid shooter. Transfer that moved up in competition from Wright State and really didnt miss a beat. Belongs at this level

Tyler Kolek is my homer pick. One of the best PGs in the country. And the catalysct to surpirsingly one of the best offenses in the country. If you watch a Marquette game, it takes 1 minute to tell the massive difference when hes on the court vs off the court. Very sneaky good defender. Active getting steals. And has started to really get better around the rim to help his personal offensive output as well

Kolek is like an old school 80s NBA point guard.

Unknown outside of the big East.

Andre Jackson - UConn, great utility player, athletic, does a little of everything

Kihei Clark - UVA, controls the game and scores surprisingly well

Oso Ighodaro - Marquette - He gets recognition in the Big East, but nationally he's probably one of the more underrated players.

Everybody from Nova is overrated this year, so nobody makes the list, but next year it will be different.

Ned Jasper - Auburn

The kid is a tenacious defender, rarely turns the ball over and is over 50% from the field. The only problem is that he is too hesitant to shoot but usually when he does it's a good shot. I don't know why Bruce doesn't encourage him to shoot more.

Very old school. Starting to get noticed more. But we will have to finally finish a season strong for a national audience to notice. With his current assist totals projected out for 2 more seasons + potential post season play. He can make a run at all time NCAA numbers if he stays. Pretty wild if still premature.

Clark seems like hes been there for 10 years. But youre right hes very steady at all times and super crafty scoring at such a small size.

Jackson shot has been disappointing this year. But youre right, the sum of the parts with his length and D is very very useful.

Oso is the other half of the unsung duo with TK. And makes Kolek tougher to guard because Oso at 6'9 is a high end ball handler and passer so teams cant close of Koleks angles like they did last year. Oso is one of the most talented players weve had ever. I hope he decides to stick around to work on his limitations here rather than in a pro league somewhere. AA potential.

I had to check who it is. It's still Bobby Hurley which is nuts, but yea ... he's old school.

Wade Taylor IV. definitely underrated

Yea, Jackson and Sanogo have been a shitshow since conference play. Maybe that bodes well for the Big East.

Uconn is a mess right now. THank god for their OOC so their metrics still rule.

Yeah, it's actually better for the conference that Uconn has taken on these losses. They still have a great resume and metrics. They're still looking at a 3 seed(or best 4 seed IMO) if the tournament started today.

100%.

BE was looking down but its shaping up to end up in a really good spot. 5 teams are basically locks assuming no total tank job. Seton Hall thanks to that Uconn win now has a legit fighting chance to make it 6/11 teams. Especially if they beat us tomorrow. And either way, I think they should stay a Q1 road game for good now.

SJU(especially) and Butler can fight their way to Q1 as well if they win the right games.

Kinda crazy how its taken shape. Creighton and MU mostly waxing teams in their wins and not losing by a lot has really helped the conference as well.

Tyree mfn Appleby
it is still Tyree Appleby but gotta give some love to killa CAM Hildreth

even tho he's probably gonna have his worst game of the season tomorrow against UVa. i think the packline will cause problems for him

From Bama:

Mark Sears. Dude is fucking awesome. Noah Clowney has started getting some recognition but he is also very very good

the correct answer is Darius Miles and there isn't a close second
