Mountain West now has college's football's most bitter rivalry

"Alfalfa Bill" Murray was the Oklahoma governor who set up a cannon on the bridge over the Red River and threatened to go to war with Texas. He had a bunch of troops there with him and he was waving a (probably rusty) sword in the air decrying the way the heathen Texans were infringing on Okie rights. Good thing we didn't have nukes back then.
