What it was is that every beauty queen from every podunk city and state, and even from the bigger cities and states who was the most ever beautiful beauty queen, or beautiful whatever, magical voice singer, etc., moved to L.A. hoping to get into movies, TV, or music. And the vast, vast majority of them did not get in.
