Yeah, Stevie Ray is at or near the top of my list. Got to see him live 3 times before he got on that damn helicopter.

If I remember the story correctly didn't SRV take Clapton's seat on that helicopter? Awesome you got to see him three times though.
Yeah, apparently there was some switching of the passengers just before take off.
All 3 were awesome shows
First time was an outdoor concert here in downtown Manchester.
Second one was Stevie opening for Jeff Beck at the Worcester (MA) Centrum.
The last one, a few months before he died was another outdoor show on a Sunday afternoon in Salem, MA. It was/is a great venue to see a band, there is a small half shell stage with the Mouth of the Merrimack river in the background, sail boats and yachts floating by etc. weather was awesome and my buddy and I had some lovely women folk with us.

SRV's the main reason I've been a blues fan for 30+ years. And that outdoor venue sounds like a great place for some live music. Alotta great guitarists out there since his passing. But very few could play like him. In blues circles I think he'll always be missed.
