Hearing Nix speak, seeing how we lost in the last second against a top 7 ranked team on the road, Oregon is still THERE.

It's all for the taking. Oregon controls it's own destiny still. Yes, yesterday may sting in the moment, but Oregon wins out and they are in the PAC-12 title game, win that or a rematch vs UW and win that and Oregon's still got a spot in the College Football Playoff. It's all still there. Yesterday sucked. But waking up this morning, shaking off the feeling of a loss, and hearing the inspirational words of the young leader Bo Nix had to say and seeing his vision and hearing his heart, is as inspirational as anything to keep pushing forward and keep our eyes on the rest of the season because it is all still THERE.

It's just scenario village stuff though guys, because there's no chance both UW and Oregon win out to the CCG to create his dream rematch. Both looked shaky in some areas yesterday and both have tough games the last month. The odds they both win out has to be under 10%.

Oregon and Texas are in the same boat, and if both win out, that road win against Alabama is gonna get Texas in over Oregon. Even without that, Texas’s brand would probably be enough

It’s 2023 not 2003. Oregon’s brand is bigger than Texas. Texas is only big in Texas and longhorns delusional self minds.

Texas is losing their recruits to Oregon and lost recruits to Oregon during Chip Kelly days.

Oregon gets in with 1 loss over 1 loss Texas.

Texas has been down for like 15 years now, and they’re still the biggest moneymaker in college football. Texas is a far bigger national brand than Oregon. Alabama and Ohio State are the only two that I’d say are bigger brands

Penix drove for the last score when it mattered most, 0regon came up short. That's what happens with two evenly matched teams. Back to back years with a FG try at the end deciding it.

Notice I said both that they do not control their own destiny even if things go the way he wants it to and I didn't say a 1 loss Pac team is in. I said it was the best resume they could hope for being a 1 loss team.

An undefeated Pac team is in, a 1 loss is up to the committee as always. It's not in their own hands. That was the point.

And both years Lanning failed on 4th down, late in the 4th Q, giving Washington the field position to win it.

That's why my take last night was that Oregon has more talent depth than UW, but UW has better coaching. DeBoer doesn't shoot themselves in the feet at nearly the pace Lanning does.
It's almost like he doesn't trust his team to win conventionally. Didn't trust his defense when he went for that 4th down play last year in Ewwgene and again this year didn't trust them in a similar situation. Both cost them a loss. He'll do it again next year given the chance.
 
I have to question analytics that call for passing on points on the road in the first half and going for it on 4th and medium at midfield with a 4 point lead

It’s not that Kansas State coach going for two to try and make it a 6 point game a couple weeks ago, but pretty bad
 
Washington could have kicked a chip shot fg, instead of going for it and getting stuffed on 4th down. Coulda woulda shoulda.
