GAME National Championship Game, Georgia vs Bama

I still think JT is the better QB, but Stetson stepped up when we needed him most. He'll never have to buy a drink or meal in the state of Georgia again.

Think it's kinda funny and a little cool that on a roster loaded with 5 and 4 stars, the QB is a walk on and the face of the defense was a 3 star afterthought.
That he did ... and I'm all the happier for it! :yo:

Great place for Billingsley...UT needs another TE that can't catch, block, or get open, here comes win #16. Sanders is a good get though.
he had a good year in 2020 when Sark was the OC, actually his best season. BOB was using him as a conventional TE. Also I may be premature about Sanders, seems like he might be going to Arkansas instead

Talent isn't Billingsley's problem. It's effort, go back and watch him last night. No effort in the biggest game of the year

That may change with a new environment though

There's been some buzz about Washington potentially transferring out, and I do think he needs at least one target in every red zone chance just because of his size, but nobody thought Bowers would turn out to be the biggest weapon on the offense.
Rumor on Another Bama board is Bama is the favorite if he hits the portal. We would absolutely take him. He is a stud IMO but that Bowers kid is another Kyle Pitts

If Texas gets 2020 Billingsley then they are getting a hell of a player, who already knows how Sark will use him.

If they get 2021 Billingsley that half assed everything then good luck, they’ll need it

I think Washington can be a stud. This is the first year where a TE has been a major part of our offense, but Washington broke his foot in the summer and had to miss the first few games of the season, and by that time Bowers had already established himself in the offense. Washington can block, has good hands and his size makes him a tough matchup, he's not a burner like Bowers, more of a possession guy, but those guys are pretty valuable. I hope he comes back and we start trending more towards a passing offense next year. Has potential to be a Gronk-Hernandez type TE duo. I'd understand if he leaves, but I'd hate to see him go.

I think next year UGA's offense should be better than this year, but expect the defense to take a step back with all the players that will be leaving for the NFL

BOB shouldn't have used him at all. He was OK right after getting out of the Saban doghouse....but in the second half of the season he had 7 catches for 78 yards...at least 3 of those he was wide ass open in a zone...not because of his spectacular route running but because he was rightfully not covered because he had as many drops when he was wide ass open in that same zone. He was literally on a pace of 1 catch every 4 targets over the last 3 games...at least half of which hit him in the hands.

Don't even get me started on his half-ass blocking. I get being a tweener at 6-4 230, but if you're an undersized ineffective blocker and can't catch and can't get open you aren't fulfilling any useful role.

alright Chewy, who the fuck is 'FAIN & BILLY SLAUGHTER' and why the fuck is their names by the DC position?

Yup, he was fired. You should fire Dabo immediately so you can have a spot to offer him.
To be fair to Chewy, I was calling for Dabo’s head his first 5 years, but that’s because he lost to FSU and the dirtpeckers for 5 straight years.

I have a man crush on him now. I guess you could call it a love-hate relationship.

Most of my shit about Kirby was fucking with that other UGA fan.

But I did(and still do) have some real frustration with the QB position. We haven’t had an elite college QB since Aaron Murray and we had one on the team that we let go to Ohio State.

I didn’t think we’d be able to win a natty without an elite QB since the game has changed so much since the early 10’s when Bama could just hand the ball off a million times and play smothering defense and win it all.

I was pretty well comparing ourselves to Clemson was was a very solid program, but didn’t get over the top until they had Deshaun Watson

Really, this year UGA was a bit of a throwback with the defense carrying the team the whole year.

UGA insider said some players from this team are about to hit the portals.. not just the JT Daniels.. but maybe Burton? Kimber

I’ve heard Burton and Washington.

Kimber wouldn’t surprise me. We were thin at DB and he still barely saw the field

KImber came out of nowhere after his Nike opening camp in Dallas, he was the SParq champion there.. soon after he committed to y'all

I thought he had potential, but he probably didn’t like his playing time. Hell, some white walk on saw more snaps in the secondary than he did.

But we just probably landed the best group of DBs in program history in the 2022 class
