IMO, his best songs came when I was a kid and he was in his 60’s.

I saw Merle Haggard right at a year before he died and he was great, one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to.

George put on good shows, but he’s just not one of my favorites

trying to get work done and they make it so annoying. 0320 "your computer is going to restart in 15 minutes" - kicks me off the application I was on. sign back in "your computer is going to restart in 15 minutes to install updates at 0355" didn't we just do that? 0420 and finally just got back in there. i was trying to put in the work from 0100 until I was done with my assignment today to go to sleep and chill for the rest of the day, dumb fucking interruptions.

companies that auto-update their employees computers can get fucked.

first thing I'd do when receiving a new Thinkpad at IBM was reload the OS to clean all the big brother stuff out of there. Then months later I'd get a note from security saying they haven't scanned my computer in a month and I'd just laugh and hang up the phone. Then my manager would come by and I'd tell him I run linux and to put me on the exempt list. Then I'd get emails from security about no scanning so I put their image on a VM on one of my servers. Then they started detecting that workaround in their big brother software so I was forced to piece together a working Thinkpad from a bunch that were destined for the trash bin and install their image on that and left it locked in a cabinet at my desk. People would ask "why are there wires going into that cabinet?"... because that's where my scannable laptop runs, duh.
