National Shapewear Day Tuesday Thread

Communications Department posted an internal article about attending a financial wellness session for a "chance to win a $500 gift card".

...the wellness session is actually a requirement for a $400...HSA contribution...

"we're sorry about yesterday's article"

You literally have one job...

Not going to be a fun day outside. Heat index already at 87. Heading to 105-110.

Im cool about it. Made it 12 years on a transplant so nothing to complain about. A lot don’t. Rejection meds now slowly killing me inside. Just want to mange it so I can go out gracefully and not turn into a burden or someone my kids don’t recognize.

Is what it is.

Didn't realize.

I know this is a personal question, but is that "normal"?

My granddaughter had a heart transplant a little over 2 years ago and I haven't heard this mentioned.

Should have raced to the boss's office and let her know she had a screw up needing fixed. Instead I let the more experienced individual know and let her reach out to her to fix the mistake.

First off good to hear about your granddaughter finding a match. I was always the patient who didn’t ask a lot of questions just went w the flow. Didn’t really want to know much. Ignorance is bliss and all that. But what I’m finding out is that if we make it past year 1 the general outlook is good. The way I understand it is most or many heart transplants are good for ten years or so. Obviously some people make it longer. There are definitely people out there who have lived much longer than I have with one. But for me personally my prednisone medication is what Is crushing me. If you bang your leg into something no big deal but when I do it it leads to catastrophic infection levels and my A1C sky rockets to deadly levels. I pretty much was on death watch the last few weeks with an 11.4 brought on by the infection. I went into the ER with a busted leg and came out a full blown type 2 diabetic gripping to life. So I would suggest having her A1C levels monitored. My docs were not doing this which is why this is so sudden for me and why I am now at a different doc trying to make sense of it all.

Good luck.

Im up to 80 a week should probably change my screen name again.

Thanks. Yeah, the A1C is monitored quite closely. Her dad is a Type 1 so that helps keep it top of mind. Both have an insulin pump, restricted diets and a mother hen watching it all.

That helps explain the fluctuation in my own A1C levels. Not been a good year managing my COPD and have been doing some regimens on and off with prednisone.

New pool project from the parks department.

Phase 1 survey results are in.

What's the #1 thing people want to see in the new project?

Hint: Reminder, this is the midwest.

Answer: A lazy river.

Might buy an M2 driver from one of SA's golf buddies. It will 100% be an upgrade over my current one, but I'll still probably whack some balls to check it out.
