and with a screen...

Not sure how something full of holes will successfully block something...

The sun is stupid doe
The roof of the screened in patio blocks the sun, smart guy.

Half our patio is not screened in and half is screened in. That way we can eat on the patio all summer without getting eaten by mosquitos, wasps, etc. and not get scorched by the heat. But when we want sun, we can sit on the outside in the sun.
very bougie. Where do the wait staff stand?

Screens can block or rather filter something. I just cannot comprehend someone choosing to block out the sun
When it’s 100 degrees and 75% humidity, not having the sun beaming down in you and having a ceiling fan moving the air around is a nice perk.

Also, you’ve never sought out shade?

I live in one of the most overcast/cloudy parts of the country. I get my fill of shade

Oh, I thought you said the screened in porch was to block the sun. Sorry. My English no gooder.
We have a screened in porch, but that is to block the sun. Otherwise we just let the sun in from our regular windows.

Porches in ND don't have roofs.

tbf tbh imo doe

Patios are bougie? I mean, we spent some coin on getting it done, but we spend more time out there each year than most people that own campers spend in their camper (not you, Fish). And it’s was cheaper than half the campers I see out at campgrounds and on the road.

I have a patio and 2 decks. I didn't know that was a new thing in America.

Sitting outside seems to confuse some people on here.

Wife and I laugh when camping because we're more out in the open and closer to nature in our back yard than we are at any campground.

It does. There’s a roof to the screened in porch. I didn’t say it was a dungeon or cave. Blocking sun doesn’t mean there’s no light. But love when you are intentionally obtuse.

Just funnin' ya

We are planning to put a pretty nice covered porch on the back of our house

Why are you so angry lately? Did @RobBase (c) do this?

Sunglasses filter the sun. Doesn't mean you cannot see the sun. Like math, buying cars, and socializing Douche fails

I’ll be honest…I don’t know the difference between a patio, porch, and deck. We usually call the area off our front door the patio, the screened in part off the back the porch, and the outside part off the back the deck. But they tend to get used interchangeably.
